Medbay is totally fucking incompetent you can't trust the dumb bastards to heal you they only stick you in cryo to heal you. Hell in a recent round I had a incompetent as fuck cmo put my body WHICH WAS IN CRIT into a morgue tray because I wasn't healing... while in a space suit... made to protect you from the cold of space

So your solution to shitty medbay doctors is to take away the one tool they use with any degree of effectiveness, leaving them with nothing they can do right.

why not just add a starting jobban to people for medbay except for MD

And how exactly would they heal someone from -89 with non-existant chemistry?

I'm tempted to agree, but just the thought of the learning curve and how useless all of Medbay would be for the first few weeks is painful.

Unrobust Scrubs isn't a reason to remove one of the half-handful of unique things from an already-gutted department.
Yeah, it sucks that their failure to git gud crushed your round, and we've all been there, but hey - It's SS13. This shit happens, and it's part of the game.

Honestly the only thing medbay needs is the new chemistry and some kind of stolen version of bay medical. Injuries that actually matter and are not just cured by applying a few chemicals.

Your request also shows that you have litte understanding on how cryo works. Cryo isn't a magical place that heals all kinds of damage. Cryo is a thing that cools down your body and applies loaded into it chemicals to your body. Its effect is fully reliant on chemicals in the beaker. Cryox and clonex have effect of healing all kinds of damage, if your body is cooled down. It doesn't have to be cryo. You can chew on clonex pills and jump into space. It doesn't have to be those two chemicals: any chemical loaded inside will work in cryo. Load tricord and it will become more robust. Load it with lexorin and plasma and whoever is put into it will die painful death.

You can make clonex and cryox not heal other kinds of damage, but it will just lead to chemists having to make a mix of cryox/clonex/ryetalyn/alkysine/dermaline/kelotane/bicaridine/dylovene/dexalin+/tricord, 10 units each, in a large beaker.

Which won't happen if chemists are incompetent. And they are, most of the time.

Cryo healing people is a godsend for people in medbay without medical supplies.
