It would be interesting to see CQC activated for cooks in the hidden kitchen area in maint on Metastation. Some cooks like to expand their service area due to an overpopulation of cooks in the kitchen.
Giving cooks cqc in the hidden kitchen area (4x5+2 tiles ) would make maint cooking more viable and less dangerous.

If there are concerns regarding cult cooks or traitor cooks abusing this, it could be a scroll that can be ordered from cargo for cooks. "Extended Area Close Quarter Cookin Guide" or something similar. This way it wouldn't go unnoticed by authorities.

You're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Actually, I don't even know what problem this was meant to solve, considering CQC is absolutely not necessary for someone to cook in the maint kitchen.
