Either that or make job knowledge (aka roundstart jobs) have specific knowledge already. The surgery computer was a nice way to limit surgery to a room more, but with cloning gone I feel we need the ability for doctors to rez people outside of the delineated area for when Medbay gets bombed.

Stasis should not be round start, i would prefer if it would be removed entirely. It removes any urgency in treating poisoning or blood loss. It is a magic machine like cloning in that it can be used for every medical emergency and takes no thought to use.

My spin on this that i have been considering is a surgical app for the modular computer that takes a beefy laptop to run. I think that modular computers could use a little love.

Stasis should not be round start, i would prefer if it would be removed entirely. It removes any urgency in treating poisoning or blood loss. It is a magic machine like cloning in that it can be used for every medical emergency and takes no thought to use.

I'm gonna assume you're being honest rather than this being some meme just for the sake of argument

The urgency in poisoning and blood loss is getting the patient to Medical fast enough - blood loss can be stopped with bandages anyway and Medical has plenty of toxin damage healing. Stasis beds being surgery beds both makes sense within the setting and allows the doctor to focus on the surgery itself - but honestly, even if stasis did no stop bleeding or poison it'd be fine.

The main reason it's good and should be kept is organ decay. Organ decay's timer is very much balanced around getting a body to Medbay, and it shouldn't involve counting seconds on a bypass once the body is in. It's a complex enough system as is.
