Public Nanite chamber for Genetics.

How genetics works is everyone has 8 potential mutations. There's useful ones, like space adaptation, and less useful ones, like Swedish or Glowy. Using this person as an example, their mutations are Swedish, Glowy, Dwarfism, webbing production, Gigantism, Monkified, Void Magnet, and Telekinesis. So not exactly all of them are super useful, but having Glowy as a Shaft Miner can provide a minor benefit.
Of note, this doesn't include things like Hulk, Mind Reading, or X-ray vision, as these powers all require you to combine with another power, and are latent in no one.
My idea is simple, a machine which when built, will allow people to activate powers that are latent in them, and have been researched, and send the research back to genetics.
In the game right now, every time you successfully use an ACTIVATOR on another person, the activator becomes filled with genetic data. Recycle/use it on your DNA console for a 60% chance to gain a random chromosome. Those chromsomes are things like:
Energetic (5/19): Reduces cooldown on action based mutations.
Power (5/19): Boosts strength of certain mutations. Experiment with super sneeze or even deadlier fireballs!
Fairly useful as a geneticist, and an under-utilized aspect, as currently Mutators seem to be the meta.
As a player, your latent genes are random, as are the sequence they're researched. This can mean they have all 8 researched on one person, while the other person only has Deaf and Monkified researched. This makes it difficult for this to become overly "Meta", as it's partially luck of the draw.

TL;DR The machine as I picture it is like a genetics console with severely reduced functionality. It shows your 8 potential mutations, if unresearched it shows up as ??? and if they're researched, gives you a brief description and the option to activate it in yourself. If this activates a Chromosome, this is sent back to genetics.
