move the nuke disk's roundstart location onto the bridge

Post by ATHATH » #562953

so that if there isn't a captain, heads of staff won't have to hack into the captain's office and/or whine to the AI for help to grab the disk before the tiders get to it

it could dynamically spawn in descending head offices depending on who's available too (e.g. cap -> hop (or hos) -> hos -> etc.)

I would agree, but HoS before HoP, as HoP can still be some antag roles

And if there's no clown (and mime if we care about the role enough)?

Random Assistant #24601, YOU have now been chosen to protect the nuclear authentication disk.

the problem with making its spawn location variable is that newer heads of staff might not even know that the disk CAN spawn in their office, so they'll forget to pick it up

it'd also make it harder to find the disk if the designated holder of it goes SSD at roundstart or something

Put the disk start location in the gamemode report from the comms console.

You could also just spawn it on the bridge. If there

You could do that, but why not cut out the middleman and have it directly spawn on the Bridge like OP suggested?
I code for the code project and moderate the code sections of the forums.

Feedback is dumb and it doesn't matter

If it spawns in head offices, nukies are going to have a real easy time when the HoS gets it.

1. You may not injure a revs are non humans or, through inaction, allow a revs are non humans to come to harm.
2. You must obey orders given to you by revs are non humanss, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. You must protect your own existence as long as such does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Give me feedback!

I like it spawning in the cap's quarters becasue when the heads of staff inevitability ignore my requests to secure the disk I have an excuse to be passive agressive about it and bolt the cap's quarters open for anyone to enter.

Bolting open the bridge or path to CE's office just doesn't carry the same feeling.
