Nerf HARS

Make this "power" actually remove head after a delay with warnings so victim has chance to get mutadone or geneticist has chance to X it away before genetics is drenched in gibs.

Why this is good for game:
  • Geneticist syringegun is pretty fucking scary because HARS is instant blind+deaf+mute plus no revival upon death.
  • "How did you dare to walk away from game for a minute, here, have green glow event make you permadie" radstorms bullshit is similar. Radstorms deserve some nerf against SSD IMO, but that's another topic.
  • When geneticist discovers HARS, it makes bloody mess instantly and chances are geneticist is not cleaning it up and genetics becomes scary miasma farm that will result in miasma viruses.

no revival? seems a bug

Well, apparently inability to revive those with HARS got fixed, now it's just "mute and teleporting around because was AFK during radstorm" and "non-antag geneticist made bunch of bad viruses just because too lazy to clean up gibs". Those two could use some reworks on their own.

Honestly, AFK during radstorm will just kill you due to rads + any other debilitating rolls you get

Fun fact, radstorms dont actually irradiate you to any significant degree. They just mutate the shit out of you.

HARS is a really useful tool for doctoring. Permanent brain trauma? HARS then mutadone the brain back!

hars is a really bad addition to the game, it broke like 3 antags (2 of which are still broken), fucks you up majorly, basically combining a few weaker mutations and can be used to completely bypass traumas

HARS breaks so much it honestly seems like more trouble than it's worth to keep around especially considering after about 20 seperate issue reports no one wants to make a fix for changelings.

One time someone (bennet) kept eating all my food as chef so I gave him a pizza filled with mutagen and his head immediately exploded. I still think about this a lot.

HARS is still broken in regards to revival.

Never fucking mind, HARS seems to still prevent revival. During 141825 someone ended up dead with no head, defib reported successful revival with no change to patient, I ended up fixing it by removing mutation with Necrotic Metabolism + Metabolic Boost virus (makes corpses metabolize chems, so mutadone worked).

It's still better to fix HARS instead of relying on viro mains or what else to unfuck those interesting but complicated edge cases.
