Signup for event role as ghost

Instead of outright banning ghosts from playing ghost roles, enable event creator to alert ghosts about event that's coming up! Event creator could provide event description, list of roles needed, their expected acting and such, then make persistent notification pop up for ghosts. Similar to "Something interesting" status-effect like button, but always there as long as event is to gather roles. Then ghost players may click on that, examine roles and roll for some or all of them. Then once things are ready and there are enough ghosts, button press alerts ghosts that rolled in role and they spawn in.

"Wanna play chill pAI? Too bad, admin thinks you'd want to play as some sentient monster and screw you if you don't." - idea behind that PR is kinda horrible.

That is an ideal scenario, but setting up the kind of complex event that requires several ghosts often takes up so much rapid building and configuration time that it can be really difficult to additionally put in all that context and detail before ghosts have even signed up. I kinda need to know how many people I have often before I start describing the scenario because it's all so improvisational

You still get traditional "offer to ghosts" way of giving mob to ghosts and option for ghosts just marking self as interested in being part of event no matter the role would be good too. And obviously provide ghost counts on general event interest and roles specified. Ghost player just existing is not guarantee that they are indeed part of that "ghost pool" fueling event. Some players just observegang and never take even rarest of ghost role antags.

I want to see this implemented. I don't want to see that ghost pool """protection""" seeing a light.

No offense man but you just kinda have to be an admin who runs events to understand why such a ham fisted solution of ghost pool protection is required
