New Job:Scoutmaster

There should be a new job added to the game, The Scout Master, with the ability of the crew to join the Boy Scouts. After you join the boyscouts, you get a journal, and based on the actions you perform you can get merit badges. These can be added to your uniform directly, and visible through close examination. These merit badges can be for growing crops and harvesting them, being able to start a fire, a CPR/Medical badge, (with advanced ones for having pulled off specific surgeries) and so on. The Scout Master would a service job, like the Librarian or Chaplain. They would spawn with a Bowie Knife, some scout supplies, and bonuses for getting badges.
After you get badges (and points), you can exchange them at a scouting equipment vendor at the Library. Badge points can be exchanged for equipment and supplies, like the Mining vendor. Equipment from this vendor could include fire starters, sleeping bags, or other outdoor equipment that seems slightly out of place in a futuristic space station, but can be useful in a graytiders hands.

What do you guys think of this idea? What badges/equipment would you want to see?

so just to let you know boy scouts is only kids from 5-10

also if they give absolutely no benefit to the crew,
why are we adding them when assistant already exists?

You're talking about cub scouts.

Boy scouts goes until 18.

I mean the concept of merit badges is neat enough, but I don't see any need to tack a job on alongside them.

I just watched the first 3 seasons of LOST in the last week. Locke is a cool character, having an outdoors specialist on the station would be neat. Could have them be the masters of maintenance, being able to set up noise traps to be alerted when people walk past, attaching Station bounced radios to Mice so you can hear people chat, if you treat maintenance as the great outdoors a lot of items fall into place. If you have Scouts Armor offer minor benefits so it's the meta, and suddenly greysuits are looking like this and spend half their time getting merit badges I wouldn't mind
