I feel like marrying these two, and having every 5 units of ants equate to 1 sinew would make a sustainable way for miners, ghostroles any anybody else to heal up a limb particularly quickly on the fly in lavaland.

Its odd but it happens, people pick up one plant out of a bunch or leave behind goliath-steaks, and tiny insectoid caltrops (space ants) litter the entire planet.

Cite the indigineous people of IRL Africa who use Driver ants to close up their sutures by encouraging them to bite.

I think I follow the logic. They added that thing where food will rot, creating ants, and the question is outside of cytology and throwing them at people what use is this because it happens everywhere and it's pretty annoying and one possible use based on real life could be as makeshift sutures for people without access to them.

people have used soldier ants as makeshift sutures where they grab the ant and hold it in front of the cut, when the ant bites and pinches the wound shut with its mandibles you twist the body to tear the head off and when the wounds closing you take the head out
