Bear Sentience Rings (Kuma Rings)

Post by FantasticFwoosh » #613974

Monkeys recently got a upgrade, bears to recieve a similar half carbonization like gorillas would greatly increase their potency. Bears such as Wojtek in WW2 is one legendarily helpful bear, and they summarily appear often enough in SS13 to probably justify owning more than a simple click-attack.

Bear rings themselves, large and yellow bands (bronze? gold? brass?) would be a badmin, or Icebox specific drop (given the prevalence of bears in that area moreso than randomly on lavaland). Applying onto a bear (using the same inventory component to soviet bear armor) would make them become instantly subservient sentient mob to the person who applied the rings in "gratitude" when a ghost comes to claim the body, and display the rings of ownership clearly on the body.

# Kuma Ring abilities versus just sentient bears
- Allows them to understand galactic common, although they can't speak it, its enough that they can #me sign language communicate.

- All of their attacks are thematically karate based with standard bear swiping, with specialities.
 - Bear-hug special move, aggressive grab, fireman lift, then press into aggressive intent to try and squeeze the life out of them between your bear-pecs.
  - And a special rolling move that costs roughly half of your stamina to do from a resting position, to roll forward and instantly knock over the target in the tile infront of you.

- Isn't dexterous enough with the pitfalls of other primitive mobs to do intricate tasks like heal themselves with a suture, or pilot a mech/use computers but can heal more effectively by sleeping and being on full nutriment.

- Applies to all bears, but some bears are weighted in toughness and carnivorosity compared to others (polar bears are weaker than soviet armor bears, but easy to find and fully carnivorous).
