Yeah, I contributed to this doc, and was trying to think of as many materials as possible before adding effects, so I was running out of ideas.

Could make a gibtonite golem a walking maxcap on death, turning the station into that episode of Tom & Jerry with the white mouse.

Plasglass golems should explode into shrapnel shards and be more durable but absorb laser hits in exchange for getting hot, too hot and they automatically explode. It's a reasonably expensive glass after all.

Comfortable mix between underused glass golems (trash) and plasma golems.

AIs should glitch when below certain health thresholds.

Below 90%, it's an occasional stutter.
Below 75%, Every word in a sentence has a stutter and PDA messages sent by it become garbled but mostly legible.
Below 50%, the AI has trouble accessing systems and may need to make multiple attempts to interface with a machine and all its PDA messages are garbled nonsense, robotic talk becomes stuttered and the AI is at increased risk of suffering an ion law.
Below 25%, the AI can no longer communicate in anythign but stammered audio-encoded language, machinery has an unlikely chance of accepting an interface and robotic talk is just nonsense gibberish
Below 10%, the AI can no longer communicate verbally or send PDA messages or speak in robotic talk and machines no longer recognise the AI's input

Also increase the AI restorer's rate of restoration, or at least allow us to remove an AI prematurely via intellicard

We've had a mob that heals on hit for months and months and we don't have a Healing Hands mutation after years and years?

Could just make self heals really really slow and drain stamina while doing it.

There actually is a healing hands mutation in the code along with a few other unused mutations, I think ita just because genetics is too cheesed as it is.

Make it so that if a silicon interacts with an object that has its AI control wire cut, it returns an error message.

Just so it's clear that it's not a problem with your connection and you don't have to waste your time with a pointless reconnect.

Remove blob weakness to lasers and burn damage tbh

With inducers and soft crit, the blob just doesn't have the endurance to actually survive a round anymore. Blobs only win if its either lowpop and/or the crew is hopelessly incompetent.

The return of some old ideas. These are 2 1/2 years old (or older), from a time when other ideas like androids, and wizards being able to make skeletons, didn't exist.

- Telekinetic brains should be able to float and move around on their own, for reasons of hilarity. They can ventcrawl.

- More objectives.
STHUPER STHEREAL

Kill
- Kill all (job title) on the station.
- Kill all (department) workers on the station.
- Kill all heads of staff on the station.
- Kill all other antagonists on the station (make it rare).
- Kill all non-humans on station. (A little gimmicky, since this includes monkeys and pets.) - 11/01/2015 And now lizardmen, too. 16/09/2017 And plasmamen, and catmen, and androids, and golems, and...

Steal
- Steal a Metroid Core. - 11/01/2015 A slime core.
- Steal a pair of Insulated Gloves.
- Steal a utility belt. - 11/01/2015 Also include other departments' belts.
- Steal a (Head of Staff)'s headset.
- Steal an Extended Capacity Emergency Oxygen Tank (not so much a free win).
- Steal another traitor's uplink.
- Steal 30 units of (chemical).
- Steal a blood sample from (person).
- Steal a blood sample from a changeling (traitorchan only, gives the roundtype away, but if you're already a traitor, does it matter?).

Cause
- Release the Singularity. 16/09/2017 Make the supermatter crystal explode.
- Be the only escaping traitor/changeling. (For the love of god, if you add it, make it rare - nice to have, just not often.)
- Hack, using an electromagnetic card, every active cyborg at once. (This can literally be done at the start of a round with the one active cyborg, and you'll succeed even if more cyborgs are made.)
- Space the station's nuclear device.
- Ensure the survival of (person/department/job title).
- Create a (mech), and pilot it onto the escape shuttle.

Gimmick
Kill
- Kill Ian.
- Kill Runtime (if he's ever added back). - 11/01/2015 Damn, it's been a while.
- Kill Pun-Pun.
- Kill Lamarr.
- Kill Coffee (if he's ever added).
- Kill Lemon (if he's ever added). - 11/01/2015 Lemon was a proposed pet for the CE, a shark-coloured spacecarp. Our equivalent is Poly.

- 16/09/2017 Kill Araneus.

Steal
- Steal the Captain's Hat.
- 11/01/2015 Steal the captain's medals.
- Steal the Head of Security's Hat. - 11/01/2015 Also includes beret.
- Steal the Warden's Hat.
- Steal a Beret.
- Steal a Clown Mask & Wig. - 11/01/2015 Also the mime mask.

Cause
- Destroy Larry, Curly & Moe. - 11/01/2015 RIP
- Be a model Nanotrasen employee.
- Send a radio broadcast from the Russian DJ Station.
- Grow (plant).
- Grow a plant in the Abandoned Hippy Commune. (It's just my name for the place to the NorthWest of the mining asteroid perimeter.) 16/09/2017 RIP.
- Ensure the survival of (pet/monkey).
- Hard-Light Projection Units. With enough research, a small module can be made which allows an AI holopad to have a toggle - when off, it's used as normal, but when on, the AI can interact with anything within range as if they were a human. This includes clothing, and clothing placed onto the Holopad will be automatically put on when the AI starts its hologram.

The option to start nearsighted, with a pair of glasses. No particular reason, but some people seemed fond of the idea before.

- Extended Secret. Like secret, except the antagonists only find out that they're antagonists at a random point 10-40 minutes into the round.

Also, a Cascade gamemode, where another gamemode jumps in every fifteen minutes (eg. start with wizard, wizard is still dicking around when nuke ops spawn, nuke ops arrive just in time to squabble with the wizard enough not to notice the alium eggs on the solars, aliens are battling the operatives whilst a fledgling cult is stealing bodies for constructs etc.).

Add a Mulligan roundtype. When triggered at roundstart, it checks for admin presence - if there are some, it prompts them to press buttons. If it doesn't get an admin response in five minutes, or if no admins are on from the beginning, it Mulligans either into a bunch of random events or an actual antagonist type.

- Standing Assemblies. Modular constructions which use existing pieces in a logical way - things like laser wires, proximity sensors, signallers etc. for triggers, and simple tools, or more, in output. They'd be directional, and would be used on the object that they can reach in that direction. For example, you can set up an assembly using a proximity sensor and wirecutter, to automatically cut a wire/grille to its left when triggered. Sounds pointless, but think of the possibilities for engiebros. Rube-Goldberg machine traps!

- Clown Magic - things which should not work, but kinda do, in some almost vaguely sensible way. "If the clown attaches his mask, his shoes, a pair of white gloves and a horn to a standard clown suit and finishes off with a banana, it should make a Decoy Clown (NPC)." - we actually have clown NPCs now, too.

- A very small chance of becoming a different kind of ghost.
Normal type of ghost - 99% chance. No change.
Shade - 0.33% chance. Fairly obvious, means seeing a shade isn't an instant cult tell.
Spirit - 0.33% chance. An ethereal version of the person, they essentially become like an AI hologram and can be banished with the Null Rod or an Energy Sword, turning it into a regular ghost.
Spectre - 0.33% chance. The unidentified ghost sprite from Pokemon (or something like it...feckin' metroid changes...), it can't speak but has the power to manipulate the living world far more than the others (pulling, lifting and throwing objects, stunning people for a few seconds with a cooldown as a Boo!, activating machines and consoles etc.) as well as some other abilities, like becoming invisible (alien style, so still SLIGHTLY visible) at will. Can only be permanently banished with the Null Rod, at which point they become a regular ghost.
16/09/2017 - since this suggestion we've had Revenants and Nightmares added, two ghost-like entities. They could also work like this.

Training Players. People can put themselves forward as a go-to person for helping a new player in general, or with specific departments (which'd be noted down as part of the position). Then a private message system would be set up between trainer and trainee for the duration of the round, by an admin.

- How about a variety of interesting and/or silly statistics collected during and displayed at the end of every round?

- Bring Back Cloakers 2015. (Also 2017.) As adminspawn items, though.

- Make every shuttle capable of docking at the station. At once, if a crew is particularly enterprising.

- I do wonder why we haven't added gaffer tape yet.

- A "grabber" mode for vending machines, similar to the way the ore refiner picks up ore - when activated, it picks up any items of its type, that are not held, in adjacent tiles. It's a toggle, and it won't work on its own tile, so vending stuff won't be a problem. Think of it like this - you load a bunch of slimes into the processor, placing it right next to the slime core fridge, and the grabber mode on the fridge picks up all those slime cores as they're made. Or chemistry, where you could quickdrop a bunch of patches next to the fridge without having to load them individually.

- Change the starting AI and cyborgs to having a positronic brain instead of an organic one. It'll almost never come up, but it pushes my lore buttons. 16/09/2017 - on a related note, change android brains to be positronic, too.

- Give RIPLEY armour a snowflake resistance (not full, but high) to xenomorph attacks. Because muh references.

- Can we put randomgen structures at the bottom of the Teleport list, please?

- Make it a random chance of every time two people run into each other with disarm or harm intent active they both vanish into a cartoonish fight cloud for a few seconds and come out of it with brute injuries.

- The clown has a pie cannon - the librarian curator needs a book-stocking mech.

- A changeling who has absorbed a body the old-fashioned way will occasionally hear the deadchat of the person they ate this way rattling around at the back of their mind.

- Possibility of slaughter demons spawning as green and acidic in xeno rounds.

- Thermals should show a drone-like body heat overlay consistent with the shape and temperature of the species.

Low body temp making you harder or even not able to be seen by thermals. Give frost oil an use. Maybe have people in hardsuits not visible with thermals since it insulates.

Making lizards mesotherms would actually be pretty cool even without interactions with thermal vision.

Pure cold blooded lizards would not really be able to even live on a space station with humans without special equipment due to the risk of freezing, and they would be unlikely to evolve into a intelligent species without having some ability to thermonuclear, so mesothermic lizards would be the most accurate.

let the chemmaster dispense in 30 and 90 unit portions

30 = one bottle
90 = three bottles

right now you have the option to move 1 5 10 All Custom

if you want a bottle you click 10 three times, if you want three bottles you click All then transfer 10 back (otherwise you have a troll bottle that only has 10 units in it)

this minor tgui change reduces number of clicks by a lot

I might even take a shot at making it myself, I'd have to figure out how but it probably wouldn't be too different from the wizard round gimmick that causes events to happen (though without the shortening time between events)

Mm. I figured that wouldn't happen, since we don't see it for midround antagonists. But it'd likely encourage ghostrole production, and there may be better options.

It seems somewhat unfair to give a nuke ops roll to people who likely suicided roundstart/ghosted out/observed is all I'm saying. Rewards for people who manage to die on an extended round up until that point sounds like a bad idea IMO. You don't see it for midround antagonists because most midround antagonists are rare. It encouraging ghost role production is meta as fuck, you shouldn't be making ghost roles to take away from possible ops.

I don't think main antagonist roles should ever draw from deadchat unless it's admin spawned, it caters to the people who suicide roundstart. If someone naturally dies in fifteen minutes on extended they probably greytided themselves to death, were a miner, or did something stupid and died. None of those deserve to be rewarded by an antag roll.

Extended traitor sounds okay to me I guess.

Yeah this'd be traitor/traitorchan only really, nuke ops need the prep time, wizard is supposed to be short, and so is rev. Not sure about cults, but i think that they have little chance of disrupting the game early.

In terms of ghost roles, I was thinking more along the lines of people hanging around for ghostroles, rather than taking away from ops etc. It's a choice, anywhat.

What about the occasional living person getting the calling, a choice, and then a minute's warning to run somewhere before they're teleported out?

ehhhhh. our current system for antagonist selection seems to work perfectly fine, if it ain't broke don't fix it and all. extended traitorchan is an okay idea but I think we're going too far into this with the teleport out a living person. doesn't remotely make since ICly and doesn't sound like good gameplay.

I'm concerned that an Extended Secret gamemode without wizards/blobs/operatives is just going to help stagnate the gamemode rotation. But I don't currently have a better idea.

As it stands, in the meantime, Extended Secret - in as much capacity as currently makes sense - is a good thing that I want.

Spiders lay their eggs inside you (or upon implanting eggs into someone) that causes spider reagent to constantly pollute their insides like a romerol tumor.

Overdosing on spiders will make you cough spiderlings (or literally chestburst into spiderlings), some kind of horrifying new ability for midwife/queen spiders maybe.

For when shit hits the fan and security need to raid a department they should have some kind of breach charge for doors. Maybe not explosive even but something electrical that shorts the door to open. Stick it in armoury so it's not too easily available. implying armoury isn't broken into every round
