Add the wiring diagram for borgs to the cyborgs for dummies book available in most robotics by default so there's some reason for it to exist, alternatively add a limited version of the wiring schematics to R&D's locker which includes borg wires and some other stuff around the station.

Make airlocks fixable with metal or metal rods. My autism is getting triggered by a bunch of sparking airlocks all over the place and no way to fix them.

Increase janitor mopping speed to be faster, soap should be slower than a mop, considering mops are bigger and require water to work.

Make flashes buildable in the exofab without needing research again, it's silly that robotics can't make them roundstart despite the fact that cyborgs need them to function.

Make APCs fireproof, plasma fires are a lot more unmanageable now that they can break APCs and disable the air alarms.

Given that it's the panels that are sparking, make 'em fixable with cable.

Speaking of which, also add centralised plasma piping to power ovens, the crematorium and reagent dispensers drawing from energy.

Isn't the oven just electric? And its pretty well founded that reagent dispensers use energy via star-trek replicator science to make shit out of pure energy.

Let cameras take 1x1 pictures.

EDIT:
Also, if it had focus options like "ignore turf" for portrait pictures to upload on sec records that would be swell. The background being also printed on wanted posters can sometimes be unsightly.

Build-an-animal Autolathes: Lets you make stuffed animals. You can also record a message in a universal recorder then put it in the stuffed animal to make it play the message when you hug it. Emagging the stuffed animal when there's a recorder in it turns it into a grenade. Using it after it's been emagged causes its eyes to flash red three times, and then play its message before exploding. The explosion would be kind of small (maybe 3x3) but would also send burning stuffing, fabric, and shrapnel flying randomly dealing a decent mix of burn and brute damage to anything it hits.

> Exact same suggestion except its a xenobio machine and takes slabs of meat for biomatter, taking samples from mobs lets you print off new creatures as a sort of generic replacement for gold slimes which are too spammy and not fun when 5 randomly generated possibly OP mobs spawn.

Has a few generic creatures already loaded in, including 1 basic slime (to replace the grey slime core plasma reaction)

When you're a ghost, you should have a verb for 'tunnel vision' mode where you only see the emotes / speech of the people if they're on your screen. I know there are individual controls for this but a general one to toggle all of it would help too.

You can use observe to only see and hear what the person you're observing can see/hear.

Allow Traitor/Combat upgraded AIs to purchase a 'wireless cryptographic processor' to remotely emag machines as a click action (similar to how the camera mode works). I am thinking maybe ~75 CPU. Examples for usage include: Emagging the cargo console and ordering a surplus crate to drive Cargonia into chaos, emag the gravigen for the chaos thing (if it is merged), directly hacking air alarms for a more surgical flooding approach, etc.

I would suggest that if you are holding a box, such as the Shotgun Shell boxes in the armoury, and you click the ground where spare shells/bullets are lying around, that you will automatically scoop up as many shells/bullets as you can fit into the box. Similar to other servers.

Its a nice feature.

Not sure if they do something like this already, but if they don't: make items that have been used to commit suicide (or unique items for the purpose, like the medical wrench) have some sort of power attached to them.

Won't be abused (past the honeymoon phase like everything else) because it's not something you can empower yourself, just empower for someone else, and no-one can make you.

EDIT: Also, give RIPLEY armour a snowflake resistance (not full, but high) to xenomorph attacks. Because muh references.

Real suggestion (I'd do it myself if I knew how): Make mechanical toolboxes printable from autolathes. Not the tools in the box, just the box. I need a ready collection of toolboxes for floorbot spam memes.

Gun Hog wrote:Toolboxes already are printable in an autolathe!
Yes, but for whatever reason they don't work for making floorbots. Same with the yellow electrical toolboxes. If you try to add tiles to them to make floorbots you get "the toolbox is the wrong size."

Code: Select all

result = /mob/living/simple_animal/bot/floorbot
reqs = list(/obj/item/weapon/storage/toolbox/mechanical = 1,
The autolathe produces "Toolboxes" but the floorbot plans require specifically "mechanical" toolboxes which only spawn in certain places and cannot be produced in the lathe. Its barely a single line change to allow autolathes to produce the required toolbox, but its also just as easy to merely require any toolbox to make floorbots instead. Though doing down a step in the tree makes it possible to make floorbots out of everything classified as a toolbox and that has its own problems.

I don't think there are non-toolbox items classified as such, so that wouldn't be a problem unless you somehow use a His Grace to make a floorbot. My guess is that since floorbots are blue it was made to require blue toolboxes, but i doubt that's important.

I do not think it is too immersion breaking for :toolbox: toolboxes to magically change color when used in a floorbot :tile:, you should not recode floorbots to take any toolbox until https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/23951 is merged, which changes the type path of His Grace to no longer be an actual toolbox in the code.

Syndie toolboxes are also included in the toolbox tree. If anyone feels that terribly important as well. And now the artistics

If you really cared about immersion you could just do a quick pallet swap for the few main toolbox types and be done with it, like with medbots.

I think the only reason the types are even sorted the way they are is because of the way their contents are spawned. Should be easy enough to impliment the medkit method.

Remove silicon inability to use vending machines, it's somewhat annoying to be asked to retrieve an object that can only be found in a vending machine (life spare flashes from the sec-vend for the roboticist). Plus it's not like cyborgs or AIs can use anything from the vendors and they can get rid of them pretty easy if they wanted to if there's concerns about them emptying the machines dry.

Service cyborgs should also get hydroponics tools and a manipulator that lets them interact with plants. Service cyborg needs some love

Change the formula requirements for skewium to not need plasma. As it currently stands this makes it difficult for chemists to make and impossible for botanists (good luck getting cargo to give up points so you can make a toxin). Make it require another chemical that botanists can grow, from a mutated plant so they cant get it so easily eg Space lube from bluespace tomatoes or mushroom hallucinogen. The botanists still need help from chemists in order to make it and the chemists still have to make about 12 reactions in order to get it, so its not like it will appear every other round with this change.

As an aside, how often do these recommendations get added to the game? Do coders/admins regularly look through these threads?

Skewium is already retardedly potent. I don't think making it easier to get and make will do anyone any favors.
