Progression Traitors like Pyroland Contracts

Because people complain about the objectives & uplink can now dispense things tied to contracts upon a button press.
  • Traitor gets gadget and is rewarded for using it in effective ways
  • Unless the gadget is consumed in the process, you also get to keep it
  • Most items can still be bought independently (exception could be His Grace, giving extra rewards for doing well with it as well as lack of death?), starting 20TC, final objectives & fame system not to be removed
  • With the amount of reasonable ideas I came up with, old contracts will need to stay too.
  • Most contracts should be made with flexibility in mind, encouraging to cause as much harm as possible [instead of a metagamable little ritual (if one would be bent on making a syndiebomb contract, it should be like the ninja bomb objective however)}
  • Not all items need a contract. Heavy cost stuff, weapons(?), suits - generally things that would either feel forced or too hard to keep track off.
Now for some examples:
  1. Emag - sabotage!
    Low points for unlocking APCs, regular lockers, buttons...
    Medium points for silicones, unlocking hazardous functions, command and higher risk lockers, evil robots...
    High points for recycler, holodeck, comm console (need to buy shuttle so it's not farmable?), turrets, destructive analyser, arcades, disposals outlets, limb grower, clown car.
  • EMP Kit/bag of C4 charges - use them up, pick your targets.
    Damaging and disabling robots, breaking lights, shorting out personal equipment and clothing will all net a tiny bit of points. The more and specialised, the merrier (think hydroponics and kitchen, but more importantly chemistry, medbay, bridge and basically all of science. Hitting an AI core is also a big one.

    As for the charges - placing on welding fuel tanks, gas canisters, causing hull breaches and chain reactions give extra score. Destroying mechs and other valuable cargo pays off nicely
  • Misc: stabbing someone with a sleepypen (reward forfeit unless command member), hypnotising, extending agent ID access, slaving MMIs, uploading hacked laws, allowing Crab17 and powersink to survive long enough, getting someone with the new DETOMATIX, poisoning food, spawning carps.
  • Optional - Australiticus and Blast Cannon must still be bought for TC, but will give a paycheck for using them correctly. Syndie Revolver bounty asking you to shoot the SM. Rare Energy swords bounty for making a general beepsky.
    Also maybe this could open the way for more syndie items without it being considered Traitor Bloat?

Those are some top tier objectives, and using the already "Drop item" system progression traitors get. I could see them being some fun 30 minute + objectives to spice up the round. Giving rep instead of tc because they give you an item already.

Sabotage is awesome and we should reward it, though I am concerned with giving traitors more items as they seem to already have an issue with gaining 40TC and buying everything in the shop.

Giving objectives related to items a traitor has bought is a very cool idea, rewarding using the items they already have with more rep.

They can give negative tc and charge them for the item. Maybe reverting the charge to 0 in exchange for no rep if they complete the objective(s)

Biddle traitors were added for a reason, it is unfathomably unlikely that you would be able to get away with what is essentially a revert on them but with more stuff, unless I'm mistaken on what this means.

Without that part it's fine.
