Alternative to Away Missions/Gateway

Instead of away missions, we could have a day missions. Here's how it would work.
The day mission shuttle would be docked at the station for the first 5 minutes of the shift, anyone who wants to come aboard can. It then flies to the away mission location, that trip takes 1 minute. It then spends 20-25 minutes at the far away location. There's a 3 minute warning before they depart, and then it takes 1 minute for the shuttle to arrive back at the station. Shuttle departs when the last living player leaves the shuttle, sort of like the arrival shuttle.
