Bota-Knight Armor?

So Botany's been recently updated to be really, really, really good. Now, Botanists can very easily make hyper-potent death nettles and run around with them being fearsome as fuck, and, in the event they get injured, having an infinite supply of most any healing chem only a pack away. And yet, something is missing from the glorious Botanist's robust arsenal.
That, my friends, is armor.
The idea is simple. We make some new plants that fill this role specifically, and functioning like an armor-equivalent of the aforementioned death nettles. The more potent the plant, the better the armor.
To this end, perhaps we could make a new mutation of plump-helmets that actually create plump helmets to use as armor? HAAA! THE WORDPLAY! IS PERFECT!
Anyways, yeah. What do you guys think of making the glorious Botanist master race more OP awesome?
