Bring back Ass Station yo yo

Asteroid Station was the best map I've ever played and its presence on Basil solved the population problems better than this playercap thing has.

It really didn't have many problems and the few that exist are easy fixes. The connecting of mining with the station allowed for better cooperation between miners and researchers.

Not to mention the kickass cult rounds I played on it.

So many issues with it that are just never getting fixed

It's been canned twice now, and the only people willing to maintain it have themselves also canned it.

Boxstation is around due to it being the default map constantly maintained by virtually anyone touching anything that adds to the map.

Metastation is around due to one individual (metacide) constantly maintaining it in their own time, hence why its still around.

Asteroid Station simply has no consistent individual to maintain it, the few people who did only did so for a short time. Maybe its due to the map never being given a server to be played on but nevertheless the map is never maintained for long.

The map was not maintained and in its current state was literally unplayable.

If someone wants to update it and bring it back to working order they are free to apply the map for getting merged again.

In the meantime I don't really see why a map that doesn't even work should remain in the main branch.

It wasn't unplayable at all.

Large portions of the floor would not generate.

I literally only played shaft miner on Ass, so I wouldn't know. Any idea how it would be fixed?

I feel like I was one of the few who really liked asstation. The open concept bar was nice, and the det office had a lovely view of the 'roid. Singulo was annoying though. Maybe if it gets picked up again it could rock a supermatter or turbine engine

The concept of Ass Station is brilliant, but without a working map rotation system it was just not meant to be.
