Traitor "Fultoning"

Syndibombs can gib corpses, and cost 6 telecrystals
Ninjas have an ability called Energy Net" which
entangles them in an energy net which will after about thirty seconds teleport them to ninja prison. During this period they and others can attack the energy net to remove it, so make sure to restrain or sedate them beforehand. Cost: 20% energy
Give traitors the ability to order Energy Nets for 5-6 telecrystals, which can teleport people caught in it to Ninja Prison, instead of gibbing them. This also doesn't work if the person is carrying the disc.

This can be used for fun with a couple things. Like
•Give Traitors the objective to Fulton people
•Give Rev Heads one net for free, so they can maroon heads without having to kill them. On the other hand, rev heads who are caught can also be fultoned off the station
•If the traitor has taken hostages (Fultoned people) and is killed/in perma, a message is sent to the communications console, stating that a prisoner exchange is being offered. If the traitor is brought to the gateway alive/not in crit, and pushed through, the hostage is teleported back to the station. This message is only sent if the prisoner is alive.
The last one is a bit of a pain to code, but could be a neat addition
As for reasons to stay in prison/not immediately go braindead, there could be a couple.
•Eventually they get subverted and indoctrinated by syndicates, get sent back to the station as an operative.
•Gulag mechanic, they have to mine for telecrystals, and once they've gotten 10 (which are sent back to the traitor's PDA), they are free.
•They have a chance of getting released in a prison exchange

Sounds frustrating and gimmicky

Is getting gibbed not frustrating?

At least when you're gibbed you're dead and can be cloned if you were scanned before dying or come back as a drone/holoparasite or just generally ghost around

How often as a player do you get cloned/ come back as holoparasite after being gibbed?
Anyways, what method exists to take players out of the round as a traitor, that isn't murdering them?
The only way seems to be being a roboticist

1) if they're used in traitor objectives, they need to be free and preferably only available to traitors with that objective. that being said, it'd probably be better if they were not required for certain traitor objectives.

2) i like the idea of giving them to revheads.

2.If it was revhead exclusive, I'd be okay with that.
1.I think this is a neat way to play "Prevent X from escaping" You're not killing them, you're not otherwise blocking them from the shuttle

just steal goofball's fulton stuff he was gonna use for black ops

unless that's still in development?

and let's be honest Shaps, people almost never recover from gibbings. This is no different from permabrig, except with this we could give the prisoner more fun stuff to do

edit: well now that I think sbout it, yeah you can actually escape from perma, but it almost never happens without preparation

I could smell the MGSV memes all the way from my desktop.

Good idea, it'd be pretty fucking fancy to make it have a wormhole/fulton sprite, for even more fucking memes.

Also, you should be able to laser/shoot a fulton in progress, and stop the process. [Obviously for more memes]

I don't see how this could be a problem, when the admins have been blaring Undertale music and giving Skeletons Papyrus fonts since the moment that game was released. I mean hell, fultoning was in Peace Walker a few years back anyway, so it's not like it's a super hot fad just because of mgs5.

The idea of a guy hiding in a cardboard box named Big Boss knocking people out with chloral and fultoning them sounds fun

this isn't even an admin thing, this is hardcoded in for skeletons to have a 50% chance to get papyrus and 50% chance to get comic sans
