CARROTS IDEA

i think you should be able to use a knife/hatchet on a carrot to sharpen the edge so if you hold a carrot on harm intent and click a man you stab him with the carrot for force 8 or you can throw it for DAMAGE PURPOSES and have it EMBED in his flesh

code this immediately i wanna fill a pneumatic cannon with razor edged currots

if you're going to do stuff with botany, can you please do an equally easy change and add some basic chems to certain plants, like potassium to bananas, iron to spinach (do we even have spinach?) etc etc.
Then botany can properly be ghetto chem.

Can we just straight up port Paradise botany? Shit's great. You can splice any plant into vine form and do all kinds of crazy shit rather than there being static plants. This means you can have, chiefly, bananas and apples that when spliced together and eaten explode in people's mouths.

Tea astra used to have a burn heal Chem, now it just has shitty saline glucose. It is just like poppy, but hidden behind a mutation wall

Goof kind of cucked the healing potential that the plants had, because all the non shit healing chems only work in patches for arbitrary reasons.

I think a sharpened carrot doing that much brute in hand-to-hand a bit silly. Perhaps they could be like ghetto throwing stars and have a really high chance to embed but not do a whole lot in melee.

separate object entirely, changing carrot's force wont do shit since if you try to attack somebody with it youll feed it to them
make it a child of knives or something, much cleaner

the only reason i haven't coded this myself yet is because i can't figure out what handles objects being attacked by something with the SHARP flag.

not everything with sharp should work to carve a carrot though
eswords and throwing stars for example both have sharp, so do screwdrivers iirc

It's not even OP. Goofchems are far more OP than trekhealing chems ever were.

Goof chems have FAR higher heal per unit, have a huge upfront instant heal, and a still strong over time heal. Literally the only downside is they have to be in patch form or you get some tox damage, which serves only to remove every other possible way to apply healing chemicals to someone, for no discernable reason.

Given the way SS13 usually works, bananas would blow up upon being watered.
