Mining Vendor Improvement Drive

Need ideas for items to put in the mining vendor

guidelines:

Shouldn't step over other departments, or make dependence on them redundant
Shouldn't be "OP" or be better at doing things other departments do unless it has a steep price.
Should take into account the prices of other items in the vendor
Should be something people will want to work towards by mining and turning in minerals.

What I want to know is why it doesn't sell better mining tools. Like bombs you can only plant on mineable rock, automated drills that dig for a limited length, more powerful hand tools (KA or jackhammer or whatever), something to cool lava to solid rock, etc.

Make the normal explorer suits buyable just so there are more than 3.
Remove the gps from the equipment room and make it buyable for 500, so a miner has to actually mine a little bit before they can hunt tendrils/dragons with a gps.
also add auto hivelord implanter to the vendor reee
theres that fetching fizz drink that the bartender can make (and never does because it is incredibly situational) that drags ores towards you, add it along with the absinthe and whiskey.

The GPS is too core to the miners kit to be something you buy. It's not only about hunting scary things, but avoiding them. Also being able to find other miners, shelter pods, etc.

There should be a little pill miners can order that spawns one of the Ash Walker scavengers, 100 points

They could fill the hallways with little gremlin dudes who eat blood and then can be milked with a glass to spew out Omnizine or DD or something

Add a minebot movespeed upgrade
and maybe an upgrade so it has a light too

Mining bot upgrades would be awesome, paradise has a few, like an AI upgrade that functions like a bot sentience potion.

Burn kits would be applicable since burns are now way more common than bruted damage, maybe even a thermal coating that could be applied like goliath plates to give resitance to basiliska and ash storms.

If we could get a laser cannon on the station, orbital strikes beacons could be done. Could even do beacon patterns so one beacom blasts a large circular area while another will cut a line into the rock. Maintaining the laser (power and cooling) would give engineers something to do and because laser only points at lavaland the beacons are useless on any other z level.

Bear traps or similar stationary traps that could be used against wildlife or other miners.

Ground Penetrating Scanners that would scan a cone of blocks based on the direction you are facing out to 30 or even 60 tiles and ping back with rough estimate of how many ore tiles it detects. [+/-20%]

A Flebtonium axe/tool that can be dipped in lava to glow redhot and deal bonus damage for 3-5 minutes.

Supply/Drop Pod beacons that could be set and allow rapid assistance to lavaland from cargo. Fire supply crates or even drop pods for crew recovery, or the lazy miner leaving one behind while he jaunts back to the station and uses a drop pod to get back where he started. Prank someone by moving the beacon into lava before decent.

I like this, maybe put it next to or replace the furnace room in maint?

Except at the station, as that is what it is attached too.
Also maybe a Hyper-kinetic accelerator for 5000-10000 points?
