I don't enjoy blob, I don't see the point. the rounds drag forever or they end too soon but either way big projects are worthless because either you have to keep the stalemate alive or you can let the station die, thus ending your big project anyways.

Meteor is pretty fun though, Still needs to be quicker and more deadly. I want it all over for better or for worse in fifteen minutes or so. Like a bottle rocket round.

NO ONE REMOVES THE BLOB!

Meteor probably needs to be in rotation too you little snivelling weaklings need a few space rocks to the face so you can toughen up and stop begging for nerfs.

Meteors are already a random event.
Having a whole rounds which is no antags just meteors is boring

Blob could use some love. The idea is excellent but the execution is iffy (bring back bursting for fuck's sake). Meteor as a roundtype is cancer.

I like both.

They're rare enough to serve as a change of pace from the usual antag rounds, and the occasional blob or meteor round can be pretty fun.

meteor is really dumb because the damage is entirely random, unpreventable, inevitable and impossible to do anything about.

you could end the round in the first 10 seconds by just dropping 1000000 meteors into the station in the first few seconds and the effect would be the same. there's no drama because there's no effective means of actually contesting the destruction, nor really any reason to because there's no win or lose condition (you might just say "survive" is the objective which is fine, however fixing one wall is totally fucking pointless as a meteor just blows right through like 4 randomly and you die anyway) the whole thing needs a rethink because IMO it's just a waste of time with no significant conflict or nuance. the only way to survive is to just turtle with antibreach shields which you can't really produce, or make, or steal or whatever, walls and the station structure do fucking nothing at all so actually building say a kinetic shield around the station is fucking pointless.

as a "build a fortress to survive" mode it's shit because building a fortress is impossible in the time allotted and doesn't achieve fucking anything anyway.

I removed meteor from rotation a while ago because it was actually bringing the server to a half, mso did some changes so it might be "playable" again

this sounds like an awesome idea tbh, i miss jungle fever. why was it removed anyway?

also i like blob since its an actual game mode that the station can fight but meteors just cause people to huddle in the middle of the station, call the shuttle at 20, and try to brave the inevitable and horrible atmos lag. every meaty round i've seen recently had to have admin intervention to end because the lag was so hard, and unlike blob meteors do nothing for the crew; even if they wanted to repair another meteor could come in easily and destroy all their work.
