ooc map links
It'd probably be ok if you could access station map from some OOC tab. It doesn't have to be a thorough map with all the objects, maybe just a link to a mspaint map that shows where all departments are or somesuch.

Re: ooc map links
Learning where stuff is is kinda the charm of new maps/being new to the game.

if you can't bother to learn the map yourself, this isn't your game anyways

Re: ooc map links
It'd be kinda funny if every job had their own shitty hand drawn map that suits them, cap has a nice proper map, clown has an inaccurate map of best places to honk people, greytide has a map covered in Xs and a legend where X = Stuff to take, security has a map with the brig and then a huge area labeled CRIMINALS on the rest of the station

Definitely not for everyone. I could literally play box every round for the rest of my life and I'd never get tired of it. I'm not a fan of constantly having to re-learn where everything is, regardless of how well-crafted the maps are. Especially considering that most of them are re-hashes of the same thing and not particularly unique in any way aside from having everything shuffled around.Whoisthere wrote:For you and for me. That being said, it's not hard to find maps of the stations online with a very minimal amount of effort. It takes all of 30 seconds to pull up the /tg/ wiki and see a map for every station in rotation, with the exception of Delta Station. As long as mappers are making sure that the wiki is up-to-date with the newest iterations of their maps, I don't really think having an in-game map via OOC is necessary.

Learning is fun. A map helps people learn the layout. Thus OP's idea enables fun.D&B wrote:Learning where stuff is is kinda the charm of new maps/being new to the game.
