The idea is simple, and I can easily do it.

Have assistants spawn in random areas all over the station, ranging from the toilets, maintenance, the chapel and any other area assistants have normal access to. There will still be spawn points in Tool Storage but only a few, if there are more than five assistants at round start then they will start spawning in at random areas.

It's not going to be random since assistants spawn starting from the upper-most-left spawn point, and then file out left from there, and down row-by-row. You'd need to fix that first.

It would still be outside of Tool Storage nonetheless.

It's not a huge problem, but sure, why not.

This is already how it is on Artyom.

What purpose does it serve?

Well, it helps to soften the mad mob rush when too many assistants spawn at once.

Why is it a problem and why should random decide who gets a chance to get toolbelt and gloves from storage?

You're right, we should remove that toolbelt outright. Let smart people who know maint get all the toolbelts.

It will help with rev, it will help with ridiculous fights over equipment. Plus it doesn't hurt anybody whatsoever.

Add more electrical lockers and up the toolbelt spawn chance to force more clever maint scavenging.

I would not be against the removal of the single Toolbelt from Tool Storage, would force them assistants to work for their prize instead of killing each other at round start.

It's not by upper left of the map ikarrus, it's by order you place the landmarks down. That's how it is for artyom.

I put scattered assistant spawns all over the station and the first assistant always spawns at escape on (NT)metastation.

It's bizarre and I'd like if there was a random spawn location code because it means the alt spawns for heads of staff don't work either. I want the cap to spawn on the toilet damnit.

What will happen if I do a PR for this will mean that most Assistant spawns will be outside of Tool storage, more specifically they will be...

- 2 in NW Maint.
- 2 in Tool Storage
- 2 near Arrivals Shuttle
- 1 in Disposals Maint
- 2 in Dorms (Seperate)
- 1 in the Toilets
- 4 in the Bar (At the same table)
- 1 in NE Maint
- 2 in SE Maint
- 3 in SW Maint
- 1 in Maint above HoP's office.
- 1 at the Escape Hallway
- 1 outside Engineering
- 1 outside Botany

For a total of 24 Assistant Spawns, which numbers the same amount of Assist Spawns in Tool Storage.

In addition the Toolbelt in Tool Storage is gone and a few extra are sprinkled around the place, only one or two though.

Don't put spawns in maint, if people go afk at roundstart in maint they'll be hard as fuck to find.

Keep them outside of departments or in public places.

Also instead of removing that toolbelt, put it somewhere in maint.

Not to mention assistants aren't guaranteed to have maintenance access.

Don't put them anywhere they could get stuck in. Just have them spawn in the public areas, like dorms, bar, tool storage, lounges, etc

It's in on Artyom, it's pretty good. Certainly beats the Tool Storage Swarm.

I removed the toolbelt and plopped two toolbelts hidden around the station.

In addition I can see why spawning in maint's a bad idea, I'll plop the assistants around the public areas of the station.

To fix the "only one landmark is chosen" issue, just shuffle the list of landmarks and randomly delete all but the number needed for the job.
