With limb loss it would be nice to have modes of transport to recover movement speed without the surgery.

Crutches: Reduces/removes moment penalties from leg limb loss. 1 Crutch 50% removal, 2 crutches 100% removal on missing 1 leg speed penalties.

Wheel Chair: Reduces/removes moment penalties from leg limb loss. 1 handed 50% removal, 2 handed 100% removal on missing both legs speed penalties. Has internals storage with potential mod for speed boost no handed (self propelled, requires battery and and RnD item)

Yes a ghetto wheel chair can be made with a fire Extinguisher and a roller chair buttttt hey just another idea.

Wouldn't peglegs just be crafted from wood and attachable via surgery. With slowdown obviously since it's, ya know, wood.

Wheelchair two handed should move no faster than 60% than normal walking speed.

IRL people with wheelchairs don't move faster than a walking person unless you accidentally release your grip on a downward slope.

I could swear I remember wheelchairs being a thing on tg before. When were they removed?

just have a wooden item that when used in surgery turns into a "/obj/item/bodypart/[SIDE]_leg/wood" or something, should work fine.

we never had em but we do have skateboards and scooters which accomplish roughly the same thing

Wheelchairs, crutches and peg legs all totally fit space station 13's aesthetic and should be a thing, this sounds rad.

Paradise has wheelchairs, as I recall.

(They also let you start the round para/quadraplegic which is kinda weird)
