replace them with a cuter sprite that is less edgy

I recall that when they were first added, Kevinz was telling me something about them getting all new sprites, so they'd look a little more consistent and cohesive. I'm not sure where that's at, but I wanted to mention it as it's something that's been brought up before and ostensibly in the works already.

Agreed I keep thinking its an actual drone and try to give it hats but that fails and it talks back unlike actual drones.

I support their removal. Just replace them with something similar to the AI hologram, its more in keeping with aesthetic and fits the 'holoshell' thing better.

my PAI body would just be a floating TV with a face on it like goon drones tho ideally.

This. I don't like the fact they can move. I think they can decide when to leave your character, but other than that I kinda want to revert this.

and even if it doesn't get reverted they should honestly only have the little drone sprite as the only option if they are going to holoform

Their holoform should really be tethered to LoS of the device. The pAI itself shouldn't be mobile. maybe have their mobility have to be activated by someone clicking them in-hand or somesuch so they don't get to just fuck off before someone's set themselves as the owner. And ghostban pAI players who fuck off never to be seen again against the instructions/wishes of their masters.

If you don't bind them within 60 seconds of downloading them it's your fault as they get locked for 60 seconds or until their owner is set.
