After playing 9 hours of osu!'s "mania" mode (basically guitar hero) I'm now a higher rank in that mode than I am in standard.
that's 9 hours vs 190.
so basically fucking nobody plays this mode and I'm able to climb up the ranks because it's scoring system is wonk.

doesn't stop it hurting/annoying me.

ridiculous.

I'm 94,000th~ish in standard
and now 89,000th~ish in mania

My highest ever rank was 50,000th~ish in standard, but I lost that cos we switched to scoreV2 and it prioritised certain play over others and my rank fell over the following months.
I wonder if I'll beat 50,000th with mania? I probably will if I keep at it but I don't want to because I'm bad at this mode and I'd just annoy myself.

Been playing Terraria hardcore lately. Here's how my runs have gone...

Bryce Pax was removed from Space Station 13 by Demon Eye.
Bryce Pax II was murdered by Boulder.
Bryce Pax III's flailing about was finally stopped by Boulder.
Bryce Pax IV's face was torn off by Crawltipede. (I got really far in this one!)
Bryce Pax watched their innards become outards by Boulder.
Bryce Pax couldn't find the antidote.

Moral of the story? Fuck boulders.

I should probably level my health a bit more from now on, am only level 7. So far I'm getting on pretty well with a set of 75% magicka regen robes and just spamming flames/sparks while Lydia tanks.

I don't really mind the long matches on it. Since that usually means that both teams have at least passable competence. It's those 10 minute stomps where it seems everyone on your team does stupid shit like cap gamma 2 when the base is being hit by 4 of the enemy team that piss me off the most.

Oh, and I had to replay the tutorial twice because it crashed on the scorecard the first time, and they force you to do the tutorial before you can actually play, despite me having played about the time it launched

Got Far Harbor so I've been playing FO4 again. Right now I'm doing the shit where you've got to recover dimms memories which... Kind of sucks really. The devs get an A for effort but a D for execution in my books. The tower defense concept, asthetics of the cyber environment, and the clever usage of the crafting menu is really neat but with FO4's abysmal path finding it's pretty sloppy. The data bug dudes just seem to constantly get stuck on edges which is kind of a pain in the ass. When you've got a clear path for them and turrets all set to take out the drones you'd think you'd be all set but no, half the fucking beatles will just be running up against a ledge nonstop and it just becomes a matter of waiting for their AI to figure out the correct path to take.

Consortium is wierd.

It looks unbelievably corny but the walking and talking is actually pretty engaging.

In the end it's an unconventional but fun whodunit with a shitty cliffhanger ending. They're making the sequel to it now, despite failing their initial kickstarter.

Playing Civ IV right now. As mich as I used to like it, especially over Civ V, it doesn't have nearly as much variety that Alpha Centauri offerred. You're still going to be using the same rough strategy no matter what civ you play as.

Okay, I can safely say that Civ4 being better than Civ5 is a nostalgia-glasses powered meme.

Civ5's AI and diplomacy might be godawful but at least you still have fun in the game, as opposed to the snorefest of Civ4 past the early Ages.

I don't think I ever had that problem with it, but then again I'm not using the NSA branded versions of Windows 8 or 10.

Also try going into your audio settings and turning off "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device", that might prevent apps being dicks.

Also keep in mind there will be times when two NPCs are fighting, but if they kill eachother(Or one the other) you get the kill credit

If you want to do fully nonlethal, you must immediately RUN from anything even remotely resembling a fight until it no longer processes. It's the only way to keep your kill count at 0
Or you can just do whatever you want and just handle things according to how you want to do them rather than an arbitrary number to keep low

I got DOOM on sale the other day and played it a bit the other night. I was worried my Frankenrig wouldn't be able to handle it, but after a painfully slow loading time, the game itself ran pretty well. It's not subtle in the slightest, but good God is it satisfying.

This is the Police has shitty puzzles and the latter half of the game turns into a boring grind. The ending didn't offer any payoff either. It was just a "that's it?". Whatever they tried to pull off there it didn't come across well at all.
