no, everyone comes up with stuff and you write the case together (usually)

I mean it depends on what you want to do, you could get a prewritten one or whatever, but the client is essentially just a chatroom, you usually use a google doc for details/evidence/logs
Hows the tone? Serious or I ACCUSE MR SHEKLEBURG OF BEING THE MEME THIEF
again, depends on your group, I usually play in my own games, but from what I understand the vast majority of games are pretty much the opposite of serious

like, there's the expectation that you'll play the game and not be that one douche ruining it for everyone, but beyond that it's essentially no holds barred

look I know it's your thing to be rude to people as a meme but that's genuinely fucking hurtful

I'm probably not going to play with my group anymore because the games get horribly delayed before starting, last for way too long (in part because of the next point), we often have witnesses that have ACTUALLY 100% useless testimonies that are ignored (twice in a row now we've wasted around an hour on witnesses who had their testimonies thrown out immediately after finishing), and other petty shit

if people here get a group going I'd join though

Just use AOV, I recommend; they case often, build often, and know what they're doing. If you know a little RP and appreciate some wacky antics, you'll slot right in.

Here's an example of where these cases can go from a few months back.

EDIT: Here's another two cases.

yeah I just despise the filesize bloat

like, is it really necessary to have every character from essentially any mildly popular japanese visual novel ever

or the absolutely fucking massive list of music

You could download just the game without the music.

Also even with music it's not THAT large: 5.15 GB on disk.

so they've been super busy

the website doesn't eat shit anymore and has useful links/info

hosting a sever doesn't require digging through ancient posts and poor documentation anymore, and there's a discord for easy communication if you need help/have problems

there's a fucking WEBCLIENT now, like, holy shit?
