instead of having tiers of parts which doesnt work lets put the various stats behind specific nodes:
all machines are synched to research, and get upgraded instantly
different specifc research: efficency lowers price cost of machines(lathes,biogen,ect) , power efficency for rechargers, cell chargers, chem dispensers, other stuff like sleeper and orm can be bundled with biotech / mining tech
tier 1 parts will still exist for machine building
converting parts upgrades into tech nodes

My desire for stock parts are to retain the current 4 tiers, but with them giving small upgrades upto 50% better generally. I then want to add mods for machines you can use to get unique benefits at various costs IE a mod that doubles current output but creates a chance to explode or increased speed but now the machine generates a copious amount of heat.
