-Ban reason: After Being only given a note and muted from chat for provoking and harassing another player, making fun of them for supposedly making minimum wage, among other things, and refused to stop when told to, they kept on it on deadchat and OOC. Very procative. Reconsider this attitude if you want to keep playing here.

- I just got home from work, and joined the server. I was talking in deadchat minding my own. I wont lie I had a few to drink and wasn't exactly clear headed.
Another player started getting heated at me over something I had said, or I think so at least. I don't really remember what was said on either side but that's what logs are for.
I do know for a fact though I never said anything about what the other players wages were, I made some sarcastic comments about MY OWN wages but that was it.

I think there was some kind of fatal misunderstanding on someones part lol. Considering how much falsehood is in this ban reason.
I also find it kinda strange I was literally never PM'd in game during this, was muted out of no where, noted out of no where then banned a few rounds later, again out if no where.
Also the round here, I was banned on was like 1-2 rounds after the particular round I was in trouble for.

Kinda strange to wait a few rounds then apply the ban makes it looks really inconsistent imo.
Also I find it kinda upsetting I wasn't the first to start the insults and yet I'm the one getting punished, I literally never told the other player to "Fuck off and go away" like he did to me.I just laughed at his comments...
I also would say it's a stretch to call that harassment, if you say I was harassing the other player, then I could just as easy say he was doing the same to me.
I just have thicker skin that that. Also considering it was the first time I had ever talked to or seen this man I just don't see how you can claim harassment. And If I was provoking him, I apologize but I was literally being myself so sorry.

-I don't really think what I did was worth a week ban, I was never talked to about it in a professional way till after it was over.
I'm only half in the wrong here with the other player being equally as guilty. So I don't understand why I was given such extreme treatment.
I'm also being accused of saying things I never said, and I really don't like that. I'd love to get the logs so I can explain everything in however much detail is needed to clear things up.

Reviewing them, you are right you weren't making fun of them for making minimum wage, that was misinterpretation from my side.

As for the rest, you were very caustic and seemed to be fishing for a reaction. The provocative part of the note is very fitting.

The short story was you were told to cut that attitude and instead of doing so decided to escalate it over and over. Each step small, but you did climb high on that ladder.

On the other player's attitude, it's no excuse to break our rules, namely our first one here. If you have an issue with other players you should report it.

I'll wait for your reply and any comments other admins would like to do.

Yes thank you for posting the logs, from what I've read I literally did nothing to provoke the other player or to get muted and noted out of the blue for no reason.

I'd say the other player was actually being more rude to me and toxic.

Also I only escalated my behavior towards you after you clearly didn't want to do your job properly nor talk to me, at least not at first.
You then banned me with out warning a few hours later after just before that muting and noting me out of the blue.

All on the premise that I was provoking and harassing another player. Now it's clear that wasn't the case.

I agree I did take it too far though, it being a mix of being slightly intoxicated and tired of what feels like a personal bias against me.
I promise you I wouldn't have gotten so upset and rash if I was properly talked to and not banned for a blatant lie. At any rate, for what it's worth I do sincerely apologize.

After thinking about it and sleeping on it some, I agree my attitude and behavior was pretty bad. I will probably cut back on drinking for a while.

On a different note, I wanted to apologize again and hopefully explain things so you can see why it happened the way it did from my perspective. I'm not the type of person to start stuff with people randomly, I'm definitely not the type of person to harass anyone.

I really didn't mean to offend the other player or anyone else I did get that way with you, after you muted me and noted me for no reason. Or so it looked to me anyways since I really wasn't in the wrong at that point. I messaged you on discord because it seemed you had just muted me and marked my ahelp as closed. So it looked like you didn't want to talk to me properly. I see that's not the case now so I was mistaken there. I then got off for a while and kinda got sad, considering I was just noted for literally nothing. I kinda got over it though and got back on, did salt a little in dchat. But was never warned by anyone to stop this. Then next round comes and I get banned out of the blue, and the ban reason is mostly based on the premise of a lie.

So yes by that point I was very upset.

It's not really an excuse for what I said in the discord but hopefully it helps you see things from my shoes a little. I think it ultimately was a big misunderstanding that got taken way to far.

I understand you were upset and possibly altered at the time, but while re-reading the conversation you don't see anything wrong, and do you see it as an unfair ban out of nowhere?
Didn't you see two admins telling you to stop and you going "lol I won't"? And then when muted for it, continuing obnoxiously for two rounds on deadchat and OOC? And then taking it further in discord where you were called out by yet another admin?

That kind of attitude, fishing for a reaction, is pretty bad and doesn't match well with the claim of having done nothing wrong. You were provoking Burger and when met with repercussions you kept at it.

My main issue here is that while you start by saying that your attitude was bad, you are convinced you were muted and noted for no reason. Which leads me to believe you haven't learned anything from it and will repeat it.

The bottom line here is that if admins tell you to cease provoking another player, then it's a good idea to do so. And if you are met with repercussions for not doing it, escalating it is a really bad idea.

You might not like this, and I certainly don't enjoy doing this, but the ban is staying. Re-think that behavior if you want to keep playing here. Some of us spend daily hours trying to make this game for you, as volunteers, and this kind of thing only makes us spend time we could be using more productively adding features or even playing ourselves.

Edit: Edited the note to reflect that the minimum wage joke was a misunderstanding.
