Alright alright, just listen to this.

Abductors is an MRP friendly mode currently shunted out of the rotation permanently. Why? Because it was too boring and unexciting for LRP.

Perfect level of excitement for MRP! Surgery antags.


My second game mode of choice that should be added to MRP is Monkey Mode.

Monkey mode allows you to call the shuttle whenever and only ends when ALL the monkeys are dead, or ALL of the crew is turned into monkeys.

This would really turn the mode into a sort of planet of the ape's standoff every time. Multiple options are allowed code-wise instead of just "kill all the enemies" considering it is much harder to do then revs or cult. Since the enemies will literally be the majority of the crew.


3. Meteors Mode.

Everyone is screaming in terror since an endless storm of meteors is smacking down the station. Do you want an actual "Chaotic Cooldown" round? This is your guy. It does its job far better then wiznerd, revs, and the cult would ever do for MRP. Since it still gives the power to the majority, the majority of the playerbase will be your reactors, and they'll actually do this by playing instead of salting in dead chat circling the murderboner.


This has been my list of top 3 modes that should be revived by the MRP server.

are abductors alone enough to do anything meaningful? they can easily get dunked and even if they do perfect it wont have huge impacts all the time

Perfect for MRP, where the rules tell people to not dunk on easily dunked things

How could you forget about Devil when you're talking about roleplay gamemodes?!

Abductors wasn't disabled what are you talking about.

Unless you mean a roundstart in which case why?

I agree that Manuel would be a good fit for some of the more Roleplay-Heavy gamemode.
  • Devil is nice, and I've had enjoyable shifts where people TC traded for it and created an interesting narrative.
  • I believe Abductors does not present enough threats to the crew to warrant being the primary gamemode. They are fine as a midround threat however.
No opinions on the others as I've never experienced them.

Abductors as a mode would benefit from being like Traitorling where it inherently has traitors mixed in. Traitorbductors or something

The problem with bringing back devils as an MRP gamemode is that the powers gained from some of the contracts (magic, power, etc.) are virtually useless if you're not allowed to tide or validhunt with them.

The rewards for answering a contract could be revisited. Now that we have economy they could grant you wealth, perhaps they could have a limited spawn menu so as to grant you a wish for an otherwise rare item, etc.
There are plenty of tangible rewards that can be desirable and aren't centered around validhunting

I don't like abductors. Stun, sleep, brain trauma. Antag that annoys you hard, causing shuttlecall. Think swarmers. Can't RP with abductors or swarmers much. Hilarity of random people going nuts could be implemented by random event that does similar kind of objective and probably locked behind midround antag pref like Obsessed because not everyone enjoys ayy objectives.

Not happy with game, not happy with code.
