Honestly, banning for this seems incredibly low when it was others that started it and nothing but a recap/interpretation of what was said earlier was posted.

Rave's "touch the stove" analogy is about the best way to explain it - Typhnox was told multiple times that, while other people starting shit is unacceptable, the appropriate response is to ignore and report them, not desperately try to defend yourself. He can't seem to just not do that, so the only logical way to handle it is to prevent him from posting. For what it's worth, Timonk got the same punishment for starting up shit with him again.

This is pretty dumb because nothing actionable was said by Typhnox in the first place this time, it's just a kneejerk zero-tolerance bullshit response. It is unreasonable admin responses like this that FEED drama instead of prevent it. Someone should never be banned from defending themselves unless what they say is actionable in itself.
