clarification on antagonists and laws/flavor text

since it was recently concluded that swarmers can do whatever (not follow their laws) since they're an antag…

what's the stance on other antags like abductors and devils

whats the stance on lavaland syndies

if theyre antag can they ignore their flavor text and leave the base and do whatever

if they arent how far can they go in tricking the crew or ordering silicons

Lavaland Syndies: You can be antagonists from your base. Anything goes but you cant leave the base.

Abductors: Follow your objectives unless you have something funnier than following your objectives and your partner agrees to it. No, murderboning isn't funny unless its done in a creative manner.

Devils: Solo antags can do whatever. They used to be considered a role with actual roleplay requirements (i remember okand giving it to me because I made extra effort to roleplay) but now you just walk up to people and say "want powers xD?" and they say "yea" and all the roleplay parts go out the window.

Report admins who spawn devils so we can tell them how awful they are

Little addendum here - if someone spawns in as a lavaland syndie and immediately walks up to and silently murders the other lavaland syndies with literally zero interaction or escalation, that person is gonna get a ghostrole ban. Rule 1 still applies to antag ghostroles, and it's usually easy enough for us to ghostrole ban someone without remorse that we're happy to do it if someone is abusing the roles to be a dick for no reason.

Same applies to ashwalkers - they're free to be antagonists as much as they want towards the station, or even towards each other given sufficient (albeit relatively minor) IC escalation, but ghostroles are really meant to be RP-oriented and give dead players something fun to do for a while. Anyone abusing them to be a dick to other people trying to use the ghostroles under the shroud of "lel but antag" is just gonna find themselves unable to play the roles anymore.

Good example: Lavaland Syndie A is working virology, Lavaland Syndie B comes up and wants to work virology, Lavaland Syndie A tells B to fuck off, B tells A to fuck off, somebody pulls a gun, somebody dies and is fed to Bubblegum. This is fine, they're ghostroles, escalation rules are more lax.

Bad example: Lavaland Syndie A is working virology, Lavaland Syndie B walks up behind A and shoots him in the back of the head while shouting "FUCK YO VIRUS NIBBA!!!!!". Byebye B, have a good two weeks off of ghostroles.

Ashlizards, syndicate lavaland and abductors are team antags.

PS: with lavaland antags you don't have as much protection as regular antags so don't be surprised if you get deleted after rushing xeno nest.

ayys should try to do their obj and devils should not be spawnedfollow their text unless told otherwise. Ayys should really be considered side event instead of antag.

they are bound by flavortext. You should not work against antags on station and I will ban you if you start outting over comms.

they are not antag, they are a hostile, player-controlled faction on lavaland
if they arent how far can they go in tricking the crew or ordering silicons
as far as they want in the realms of non creepy text, they work for the syndicate. Just don’t out other people.


Swarmers are a round ender which is why no one wants to enforce laws. In a perfect world we’d have the laws not be restrictive but :shrug:
