admins fucking with people who killed them is a major no no under the current admins and krusivik has only just come back so I predict they'll get some punishment

but at the same time, low pop or station murderbone is now a frowned upon activity, and they're a gamemaster so I doubt it will be more than a slap over the wrist.

Here statbus says that Korol's the murder suspect of 20 deaths in a round that had 27 deaths, of 27 players, in a round that lasted just under 42 minutes.

I'm not going to logdive to find out how many of those suspected murders are actually his kills, but of 26 other players he's presumably involved in 20 of their deaths. If anything, I'm more surprised that I don't see a bigger trend of players leaving for the duration, as a ling going around using multiple identities to kill people off is pretty boring, but maybe people were having fun fighting back...?

I'd like to come to my own defense as my lawyer quit yesterday, I told everyone I was a ling shift start and then started running around the halls with my armblade out the whole time. I think I changed identities because I was trying to see if transform would remove my fatness and other issues, but I was clearly recognizable with an armblade while covered in blood and dressed the same the whole shift.

Also that damage by item page is neat.

A few players get another chance to get absolutely shat on, the boner gets more gear and a challenge for the effort. It only helps the murderboner, prevents the round ending (and the players rejoining the game) for another bit, and sends entirely the wrong message. And this isn't just some mildly annoying thing like "oh, pen is out of ink.". Lowpop murderboning removes (in this case) 27 people from the game for up to an hour for the enjoyment of one.

It's always been fun to bwoink(At an appropriate lull in the action) whoever is murderboning with a "You've been doing well, would you like to turn on hard mode?" and if they say yes start pumping interns or ERT in. Be it blobs or traitors it's usually met with gusto unless there is a special circumstance like wanting to hijack. If you want to turn the action way up you can always use this as an excuse to give an appropriate amount of gear to the traitor as well and possibly even give them a posse to even the scales!(With their consent of course)

I agree that murder-boning isn't always fun to deal with but it's a protected right under rule 4 "Antags do antags things with no limits and green text is meme text". Low-pop murder-boning is discouraged but not disallowed but a pattern for doing this will usually be met with a fireside chat to try and help find some other ways to have fun as an antag on low-pop. For context I think of low-pop as under 10-15 players but it is by no means a hard rule and I don't think there is any hard precedent for an actual number. If anything it's relative to the servers average player base over a given time.

On a personal note I find it much more satisfying to be taken down gloriously. To struggle and lose valiantly. There is a special moment when you know you've lost but you can get some final licks in, a few final screams into the crowd before a last charge. Murder-boning increases the chance of these treasured moments by a fair amount.

27 people is hardly "low pop". My take is that murderbone is gameplay - there's a server specifically designed for if you HATE murderboning with a passion. It's not like they're breaking the server, they just happen to be good at the combat mechanics of the game and it's imo a dick move to say "fuck you, I don't think your take of the game is valid".

Especially where wizard is a role where you're given entirely unbalanced mechanics and basically encouraged to commit a small scale genocide - but it's suddenly a big song and dance when you do it as an antag with significantly less power behind them.

And this is coming from someone who is downright horrible at combat, even if it's partly due to having a constant 200 ping.
