Recently, on Manuel, someone set the map to Sokoban. I don't know who, it likely doesn't matter. Apparently Xzero was on during the round and in the pregame lobby. The round ID is 240464.
The round quickly spun into chaos. A changeling was murderboning people in 'maintenance', someone plasmaflooded, the SM exploded. These are pretty egregious things to happen in MRP, and there was no admin on.
I strenously object to the notion of setting the map to an event station, especially the most chaotic one available, one which is entirely a shitpost, and then just leaving the shift unadministrated. I don't think this should be allowed in administrative policy.
There is nothing wrong with a Sokoban shift. The map may even have been voted for, though I don't know that. But this is creating an extremely impactful event and then just leaving it to be unadministrated, which isn't right. Various alarm-worthy events happened that would have seriously benefitted from an admin taking a peek to see what's up, but this didn't happen.
If you make a very impactful event but then Real Life and you have to leave, that's okay, but I think you should have to make this clear in whatever administrative channels there are, and request someone come online to oversee the round in your stead. (Unless your fucking dad is dying or something)
This is copypasted from a policy discussion thread because apparently there was policy and I was misled/misled myself. Blame burgerman

Re: [Thunder?] Carlarc - Logging Off on Major Event
I had to leave for ~15 minutes for IRL reasons. The murderboning ling was spoken to, plasmafloods and the SM exploding are things which are within the wheelhouse of antags to do.
A different map to usual doesn't need the same level of oversight a complex event that involves ongoing intervention. The map is up to date and fully featured, so the round can progress normally if someone looks away for a bit.
If someone is doing the old map riot griefing schtick, you can just ahelp it as usual.
(Also use the template smelly)

Re: [Thunder?] Carlarc - Logging Off on Major Event
Oh yeah we'd already resolved this internally.
Basically not upholding the complaint, but we would like to emphasise to admins that if you do have to physically leave during an event or other non-standard shift and there's no other admins on, even if you're only scooting off for a short time, ping supportmin on the Discord to let other admins know it's a non-standard shift unless you were leaving for an emergency or something where you reasonably should be expected to prioritise IRL over making a Discord ping.
Others headmins can chime in if they want to give a more nuanced take than that, but it should suffice as a collective paraphrasing.
