What if the Roboticist could build doc doctor octopus arms (the ones from spider man 2)
The arms would be attached to the user by stepping on a rack with the four arms assembled on it (like in the movie) after they've been attached you gain 4 additional hand slots that let you grab and operate machinery from far away (8 tiles maybe?) for the price of your backpack and suit storage slot. The user would also be able to switch two of the arms to "leg mode" which allows for better walking in a weightless environment.

While additional hand slots are typically an immediate no go (support for them mainly exists for admin shenanigans, the game tends to break down if you actually use them) the rest of the ideas are workable.
In my head I'm imagining them as some kind of alternate, irremovable "backpack" which is capable of holding bulky items, but the items appear on examine / on your sprite. Meaning it'd exist as an intermediary between the bag of holding, allowing you to carry an armory of guns around, but not stealthily.
