Kenshi is a rather fun squad base RPG where you start off alone with a nifty back story and a dream. A dream to do whatever you want, make a business, become a merc, build a stronghold, etc and other cool shit while following the bushido weeboo code. I can't think of other things to hype the game because I'm tired but here's a trailer for the game, granted the trailer is very old it's currently at 74.14 and seeing how the trailer was in 0.2 the game came a very long way. Besides the trailer, at this point you can either be a human or a fucking ligger in this game, so grab your samurai buddies and yell banzai. B-but! Let's do something fun together shall we?








STORY TIME!

The syndicate managed to blow up the station again, and this makes the untold number of times Cent Comm's insurance scheme kicked in to rebuild the station and have plenty left over for the finer things in life. Until their insurance company decided to audit their past claims. One crew member tried to escape to mining but got caught in the blast's shockwave knocking the shuttle out of FTL travel and crashed on a familiar planet... [b][i]WELL SHIT! It's the same planet that copied from the old earth moive The Truman Show and decided to record people for the sweaty pleasure for hat tipping neck beards. Geist-Sama and his pal's must hold out until the audit is completed; but then something moves in the distance! Geist-sama fixates his eye's on the mining pod shuttles, who does he sees?

nope, in fact havent even started the game yet, just made and exported my guy, still like a few names to add to the glorious tale. Also the liggers I noticed dont have any tails, but they look like em none the less, maybe they evolved from their inferior form.

Necroing this ded as fuck thread because semi recent updates have made it less prone to crashes, there's actual variety in landscapes, new races to choose, that sort of thing

Though Steam tells me I need a key, and Kenshi tells me I don't because it's on Steam.

Holy Nation doesn't like robutts

Depending on spawn you'll be in the middle of their territory

Freedom Seekers or Wanderer, at least, will spawn you in the border zone and you'll be cool

It is in fact a good fucking game

Escaped slavery, wandered the land, became a lethal ninja, came back to where I was once enslaved, murdered every guard, would recommend.
In game, I play the A.I Firmware, the French cyborg C.U.R.I.E, Aubrie Allen, and the lizard scum Skulks-Through-Maintenance.

Heard very little about this (other than it apparently being a hidden gem) and skimmed the Steam page. How's the learning curve? Looks somewhat complex

less than dwarf fortress, but you will get yourself killed if you try to start a fight with anything not already half-dead initially

Gameplay itself is actually relatively simple but with a lot of variety in how you manage your units. Some things may not be explained too well but if you pay attention you will figure it out without too many problems.

What you'll have to learn by failing a lot is good decision making and how to not get your shit kicked in constantly, and even when you get good at it it's going to happen from time to time, it's just part of the game.
Don't pick fights you can't win, don't piss off major factions when you're just a half naked guy with a stick, that kind of thing.

I started playing this again recently and I love some of the unique characters, I'm slowly building up a band of misfits. Beep is the best.

REMEMBER TO MAKE A MARTIAL ARTIST CHARACTER. MINE HAS 70 MARTIAL ARTS AND DODGE AND CAN TAKE ON 70+ PEOPLE AT TIMES AND WRECK BOSSES. ALSO MINE WAS THE SKELETON AGNU.
