Lockers

A plethora of lockers are available for the crew members to raid at the beginning of each shift, most of these contain either cosmetic wardrobe items or otherwise useless accessories, but the lockers found within the station's departments are likely to hold a much more useful stash of tools, clothes, and equipment.

Uses

Lockers, while generally only regarded for the goods that they contain therein, are themselves a useful tool to a crafty crew member.

  • Lockers can be dismantled while they are open
  • Lockers can shield crew members and items from catastrophic station events such as certain delaminations

Access Restriction

By installing an ID card reader into a locker, it can be restricted to only allow access to those wearing (or holding) an ID card with appropriate access.

Personal Closet

The personal closet uses a special card reader to give access to the first person that scans their ID on it. Anyone with access to all secure lockers (such as the captain) can still open the locker and access it's contents without destroying it.

Shielding

A crew member can enter a locker by standing on it while it is open and closing the door. Any entity within a closed locker is invisible to the world around it unless the locker is opened. This does not prevent them from speaking though, and unless incapacitated, they can also open the locker door themselves. Handcuffing the captive first makes it much more difficult for them to get out, though not impossible.

Welding

A locker can be welded shut by interacting with it while closed with a lit welding tool. Welded lockers cannot be opened from the inside or out without welding the hinges free first.

Varieties

There are multiple types of lockers that can be found on the station and the celestial bodies and starships in nearby space. Each different type of locker will contain a preset list of items or be completely empty at the beginning of each shift.

Job Specific Lockers

Secure Lockers
