contesting a short ban is far more for the principle of whether the ban should be valid, rather than the duration, although ofcourse that doesn't apply if admins are speedy and we're not /that/ slow.

IF someone is being a shit, ahelp them. Do not go out of your way to play IC administrator by fucking them up, as you will very, very likely break some yourself and you will end up punished instead of them.

Re: Admins pressing buttons in rounds they are/were playing
i think the current case-by-case basis thing is good. intent is important here, if an admin did it out of personal upset/whatnot it'd be unacceptable, but many times admins intervene while they're personally in the game to make it better. i recall someone saying that it should make everyone's experi...

I can't understand why /tg/ of all servers bears such unbridled hate towards Lizardmen, a race that is a staple of every rpg setting since Warhammer Fantasy we don't have elves to hate Maybe we need elves who are an even lower socio-economic group than lizards. we had disasters with singulo/tesla almost every round supermatter is actually fun because it's less set-and-forget (but still quite set-and-forget). it's easy to tesla it, and it's easy to singulo it, you just gotta learn how, and if you want to destroy the station with an epic black hole/lightning...

remove both and elevate pAIs to the supreme beings Or just work pAIs into modular computers, either letting them act as a sentient tablet or adding a pAI/AI slot module that can be installed on computers I think years of begging has proven that nobody with the power really wants to buff pAIs by the...

Re: NTNet brainstorming, and possible PDA conversion/merger?
Enforced scarcity of circuit boards is a big part of why certain computers are allowed to be as useful as they are. basically this yeah @selea. things like comms consoles and uploads will probably never be separated however less "game changing" consoles have possibilities of it. maybe if ...

Re: NTNet brainstorming, and possible PDA conversion/merger?
I dont think that forcing people to switch to tablet is a good idea. It makes no sense that the best messaging system in the future would be a bulky ass tablet. Maybe make it a roundstart preference like we have with back storage gear the issue is if pdas are kept and tablets are an option pdas wil...

Re: NTNet brainstorming, and possible PDA conversion/merger?
Could go for a mixture of wired and wireless infrastructure. Departments have data cables that wire up to their machinery/consoles to one another and to a departmental server room that connects to the NTNet Relay which manages the wireless side of things. Tablets use the access levels of the ID ins...

By the way, I think, that maybe mulebots not the best idea after all. Nobody uses dest taggers. Maybe we should make special machine-postal port. And link it to disposal system and request consoles. So this machine will manage transfer things via disposal net. not going to bother with dest taggers, t...

NTNet brainstorming, and possible PDA conversion/merger?
Last attempt was a failure. Let's try this again Does anyone have ideas for things that can be put on modular computers, and does anyone have any ideas on things that would make sense to be on a computer network? Also, would it be neat to merge pdas and tablets? This is all assuming tablets get all ...

Mineral distribution remains the biggest impediment and thats not "just a numbers issue". My solution was to simply move the ORM deep into cargo. ORM stores minerals as it does now. Each head/QM can use a modular program and/or the protolathe to request minerals. The request would include...
