Re: Nicholas Nick gets in trouble with the FBI

I don't think we should be normalising posting videos on how to make illegal substances or dangerous chemicals as a "haha funny". What he posted on discord is a very clear indication he is here only for malicious intents. For in-game crap, he has a very bad reputation, and many people only...

Re: Nicholas Nick gets in trouble with the FBI

Honestly I dislike the idea of banning someone from the server because of a discord post. Unless they are being blacklisted the two should be mutually exclusive. Banning someone for note history or because the admins are sick of them seems odd. There should need to be an IC violation off of which t...

Re: Is atmos meant to filter out non-atmos brains?

There's a lot of nuances in how atmospherics works that the wiki doesn't tell very well. There are a few in game guides now, so the direction of atmospherics is definitely not to filter out people.

And TRIT that shit is on fire or somthing, and maybe you can make a bomb with it but not hydrogen even though the both burn alot so I don't really get why I can't make a hydrogen bomb that would be dope as hell. What makes you think this? Using hydrogen instead of tritium will give similar results.

Re: Lathe tax - digg free comment thread

Here with the whole you know "economy really doesn't matter", which I do agree with. I already said something along the lines of having an access-based system on printers, protolathes and such: Just add a fucking access type thing that's hackable. Just like with vendors. Except there's a ...

";bartender bad" callouts are hitting NRP levels. What ever happened to ";Bartender killing me" and the like? Are the extra words really that much of a burden? If I ever got bwoinked for saying something like "Mime bad" when they're killing me I would be more inclined ...

Saying "X is bad", "Cult in x" and other lazy callouts should be considered a rule 12, metacomm, and ock ick violation.

There's this trend I have been seeing for a long time where if someone finds out someone is an antag, they just say "X is X antag", or even worse, "X is bad" in comms. Now everyone knows that person is an antag because they know traitors are valid, and they know "bad" m...

I don't want to get aids. Releasing any disease that can get transmitted to other people should be an instant bwoink+note, then ban if they already have a note.

Re: greytider murders engineer in own department, engineer gets noted peanut

The CE could inform the engineering team of the new person getting access if HoP asked CE to stamp it and they approve. I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume a greyshit that is not explaining what they're trying to achieve is just there to tide, and that their access is illicit. The engineer's...

Re: Lathe tax - digg free comment thread

Exosuit fab should not be excluded. Not sure why mechs should be free. It's a lot to ask for, but here is an alternative lathe tax system (copy/paste from different post that got closed due to this one existing). The price of printing crap from lathes could be based from the total material costs, an...

Arconomy lathe tax.

Context: https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/65795 The price of printing crap from lathes could be based from the total material costs, and the research points required to unlock the required techs to print said thing. This would make things like RCDs and advanced tools a lot more expensive,...

Re: Modsuit player thread!

Modsuits should've released super broken, and then, depending on feedback, receive nerfs in waves. Instead, they released on a nearly worthless state, and now that's the first ever impression they left... I think there needs to be more live experimentation before balancing things and tightening the...

The complexity is good. Being able to carry your hardsuit in hand then instantly put it on when needing to go to an uninhabitable area was dumb.

Catastrophic meteors event.

Quite possibly the least fun event. It is far too common for the impact it causes. The shuttle gets called almost every single time it occurs, usually giving it more weight to the round than every antagonist combined. It causes so many atmos diffs that the atmos ss slows down to the point where the ...

Re: Public hulk mutation consoles and similar grief distribution methods.

I ahelp shitters that shit consistently between multiple rounds, but when everyone's hulk, I'm not really sure what to ahelp. Anyways now that I think about it, this policy probably won't be effective and there would probably be a better solution, like making hulks valid for deconversion. I'll close...

Public hulk mutation consoles and similar grief distribution methods.

One thing that I have been seeing is people making public hulk mutation consoles, which allow anyone to turn themselves into a hulk. Hulks are generally obnoxious and makes griefing significantly easier. Usually the round gets ruined when one of these are made, as there are always at least a few shi...
