Re: How much do we want to redefine death on /tg/ station?
lmao@rocket-powered goalposts Obviously the point of asking what your github name was under the pretense that you didn't have one was to allude to the fact that you have not contributed to the codebase. It's not really an accomplishment to have a github account that you haven't done anything with. ...

What's the point of it? You're just changing RP/fun based motivation to play and do things in the game with money grubbing. It also won't work if rounds are shorter than a couple of hours, an economy needs to get going to matter. A sense of pride and accomplishment. See, I'm going to give a meme an...

Re: There is no security. There is no game.
Space Law should be reviewed/written by admins and any player that joins as Security should be allowed to enforce it in any way they deem fit, so issues like greytide can be dealt IC, or not dealt with and just have a crazier round. Less trouble for admins, less stressful security (not having to wor...

If you're careful you can edit the .dmm file in a text editor and solve the conflict there, but it's kind of tricky. Your current method is not so bad. In your experience, do the conflicts appear spurious or are you editing the same locations as others are? I'm working on automatic conflict resolve...

Re: Revamping Cyborg RP mechanics
Yes it would put a burden on cyborg players, but (at least) on paper it's a way to make the role and the actions of cyborgs more clear cut with the end of avoiding the unnecessary and endless OOC drama. Most of the playerbase and admins cannot accept Asimov no matter what.

Revamping Cyborg RP mechanics
So what's the difference between a cyborg and an organic member of the crew? Cyborgs have to follow a second set of rules. Other than these secondary rules, they are not obligated to do anything, they can even act like they are regular crew as long as they are following their laws (even if subjectiv...

They aren't. Xenos might be more capable for individual combat, but spiders reproduce much much much faster, there's always going to be more spiders, it's a much more powerful snowball effect.

Assumptions. Spiders were balanced for never being player controlled, they were NPCs so they required some overpoweredness to balance their lack of intelligence, then someone thought it was a good idea to make them player controllable without a re-balance.
