The disadvantage is that you need semi-rare items for each (a helmet and stunbaton/prod for Beepskies; a helmet, taser and armour for EDs), and that if one is emagged, it's a lot more difficult to work out which.

It's not the theft itself so much as the intentions behind it. I don't actually mind losing my baton as an officer, but if an assistant disarms me and takes it just because they can, that shows a lot about their motive, and therefore the punishment they seek.

As a point of information, fifty units of chloral hydrate mixed with fifty units of smoke reagents distributes around 100u of chloral into a single target (in an open space, but assuming they don't move out of the way and it hits them directly). Thirty units of chloral is lethal.

Add it to their notes rather than their objectives: that way it won't display at the end of the round, but will still be shown if they look (optionally, display the notes at roundstart, like with syndicate PDA codes).
