To expand what XSI pointed out above, this is actually happening. As per Citizens United vs FEC, in the US political spending is a form of first amendment-protected speech, and thus government can't forbid corporations (or unions, for that matter) from spending money on usual election shenanigans.

Yeah, the game doesn't handle planets with more than 25 tiles well. If created though mods or console commands, it just defaults to 25 tiles appearance, though planet size on map might be larger.XSI wrote:snip

Science Nexus is nice if you are determined to stay a small-size empire, in theory, since it doesn't give you pop-penalty to tech cost, or tradition cost.
Also, it would be good if your primary species is terrible at science, and you haven't gone for either genetic modification or Synthetic Ascension.
