We could port it whenever we want but their implementation is dumb
It'd take me maybe a couple of hours to do a direct port of what they did if I ever wanted to port it

Some of the maps in rotation have active turfs at roundstart. This is a mapping error caused by a difference of the air between the adjacent turfs. Percentage. Say ten different people look at a poll. Two of them vote "yes." One votes "no." That would make it seem like 66% of people polled voted yes, wouldn't it? In reality, only 20% did. 70% of people polled didn't care. That is significant information. Lemme make another e...

The issue is breathing. While breathing doesn't activate turfs directly, it makes enough of a difference over time that it'll make LINDA calculations on the planet more costly than if they were just space.

Absolutely huge. On box, our biggest processing hog is environmental atmos. While the atmos will be more costly on a per tile basis on the station, this planet is set to be so huge that it could probably come close to doubling the current processing total of LINDA.

Steelpoint, you've got a fundamental misunderstanding of how atmos works. Code-wise, atmos can be split into three different parts. Those are environmental atmos (LINDA), pipenets (pipes and machinery), and gas mixtures. Gas mixtures are used by pipenets, environmental atmos, bombs, air tanks, breat...
