Lasers and tasers can also be soft countered by using an IC command, but that doesn't make them any less hampering or deadly.

Re: Killing the alien queen should have more of an impact

These are all really good ideas, particularly putting the hive into disarray and discouraging murderbone-mode in exchange for hide-and-seek. How about a "hive life-cycle" of sorts? Hivemind is disabled. All eggs die. All aliens take a big hit to their stored plasma and plasma regen rate. ...

Re: Killing the alien queen should have more of an impact

I'd prefer a longer molting period for a would be queen if the previous one died. Something akin to Shadowling hatching where the cocoon is vulnerable and the hive would need to protect and safeguard their new leader while they morph and evolve for a 2-5 minute window, making them exceptionally vuln...

Why does a taser need to the perfect counter to everything in the game? The parasites can't stun you, you can't stun the parasites. Why does every new antag introduced need to be outright immune to basic combat and robustness? You can't stun the parasite. You cant trip the parasite. You can't weake...

Re: Mice Eating Wires

Lack of power can certainly throw the balance of the game, especially during stuff like Rev or Gang rounds where people are making strongholds. RNG mousebite can cut power, and your medbay revfort wont be any good when it loses power. Mouse chews are just a very low key version of meteors if you ask...

After the last few rounds I played or observed, I'm more convinced than ever that holos need a serious nerf or change. 1) Stuns and non-damaging effects on the parasite should transfer to the owner. No question about it, the stun immune just makes it so the parasite can shield its owner from stuns a...

Abductors killing people is... no. I don't even consider them antags. Back to topic of threat, I feel that once a minute would be fine, or once every 30 ish seconds or so. My only question is does the mouse take damage like a person not wearing gloves when biting a wire with +100kW flowing through it? On rounds where I'm given free reign in Engineering it can easily be 2 million or more. That little mouse should instantly be cooked and edible by someone who doesn't mi...

Parasite needs to be more heavily tied to the summoner, with Disablers/Tasers/Stun Baton hits stunning the traitor. Making the sprite phase out or randomly teleport (as reactive armor) when the traitor is stunned would be one way to help balance them out a bit. That or the traitor being stunned/inca...

It's impossible for one person to handle all the responsibilities of xeno. We've a machine that extracts slime cores now, and have for like... a year? I can do x...

The only major change to cult that actually fucked it up was the "no research" change. Before it took significant TIME, SKILL, and EFFORT to get to talisman spam mode. That filter was a huge part of preventing most cults from snowballing. Now you can poop out as many talismans as you want...

Doesn't this kind of remove the point of the Cult? 2 of the major objectives they currently have right now are built around conversion.
