As blob:
Clicking a tile that is next to one of your blobs diagonally won't cause any spread. Clicking a mob however, will cause you to hit them. Combine this with a healthy amount of spam-clicking and you'll be able to instantly hit anyone who tries to welder you from that particular angle.

I usually do fine without something like AE2. The problem with starbound is the absurd amount of different items and how the icons are fairly small so it's easy to accidentally skip over something while searching for trivial crafting component nr. 412

You can pvp with other players by exiting your party if they're in it and using the /pvp command. Both sides have to enable it.

Alternatively, get some doubloons from the penguin bartender and use the penguin crew for ship upgrades. You should be able to put plants on your ship no problem.

Been playing it for a bit, preparing to face the penguin dude now and the story presentation is pretty neat. Only gripe I have at the moment is that I chose survival mode. Dying and losing most of your shit is incredibly annoying.

One suggestion I've always had was to allow the gang 'heads' to identify enemy gang members (Enemy gang heads showing as a normal member, to help with disguises). That way they'll be less likely to stab the wrong guy and end up being lynched by the guy's 5 friends who were just around the corner.

This works with any storage container in your backpack as well. Try dragging your box from your backpack onto yourself.
