Re: Tragedy of the commons, tg's lack of depth
For what it's worth, as a contributor, I am fine with aligning to a direction given to me by maintainers, and being told what to code. I do have a personal dream of what I want SS13 to be, but I am happy to throw that away if it does not match up with the direction as decided by management, but I do...

Help needed: The Identity System wiki page
Hello, I just finished some tweaks for the identity system that were requested of me by maintainers. I am going to rebase my branch against master, since it is kinda old, and there are a lot of merge conflicts that have set in over that month, then after that I will PR it, perform the codebase refac...

I currently have a PR up about an identity system I've made. It changes the way you see names, so you actually have a memory of people's voices, or not. I don't really feel like retyping everything again so you can find out more info in the wiki page draft I created. https://tgstation13.org/wiki/Use...

Correct me if I am wrong here, but i think what the code savvy folks are saying is that it Is not possible to do the things our UI does without utilizing internet explorer in some way. Re: Our UI situation
In my opinion, a new UI system would solve the problem. If we were to develop a new UI system, which we totally could, what would it use? What would it do differently, HOW would it resolve the performance issue? Do we really need all that ractive gives us? Could we get nearly the same functionality,...

Also, comment the things you know others for.
I don't think anyone really knows me for anything so I will not comment on myself.

Re: Chronos Legionnaire, let's make it exist so it never exi
Hi, I coded the current implementation. I'm extremely satisfied with how the chronosuit works currently, depending on how long you jump, it takes time to phase in, at that time you're vulnerable. This could be balanced by just increasing the time it takes to jump, it's just a number you can adjust ....

So I just now found this out but git since 2.5 (july 2015 ) has a command that allows you to just make a new working tree and that tree will be linked to the master repo you used the command in. Re: Flawed content getting crutches
The term crutch fix is derived from a literal crutch: a device to help you stand when your leg is broken. Or, the issue is still there, we just fixed it by using something else, like a new feature. This means that if that crutch is taken away, or the new feature is not present in a given situation, ...

I thought: what if at the end of the round, if you choose to opt-in to it, instead of restarting the server, it closes the port, and spawns another dream daemon instance to host the new station. Everyone who opted in (and is currently not dead) stays behind on the old station. Since the port is clos...
