Re: Research experiment alternative path

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. I understand your concerns about balance. The following mitigations are part of the design: - Tech is still gated by research points, so research progress will always be the slower of experiments AND research points. If the machine runs at maximum effici...

Research experiment alternative path

Problem: Experiments are repetitive and get boring when done multiple times Problem: Station power is binary. There's either enough of it, or not. Extra power isn't useful, players build powerful SM setups mostly for fun alone. Solution: Leave experiments as is with no changes. Add a second, option...

I feel useless trying to re-pressurize area as an atmos tech. Handling breaches is so demoralizing as there is no way to effectively heat the air back up as it cools down too quickly to do anything. I like the new system but there is no interesting way in interacting with it besides calling the shu...

Thalpychem / fermichem / phchem feedback

Changelog below. add: Adds a new reaction mechanic that allows reaction to occur in an incremental fashion. This uses temperature to determine reaction rate and pH to determine purity. The hotter it is, the faster it reacts. Keeping your pH within the range (default 5-9) will keep it pure, with the ...

This is meant to nerf the playstyle where nontag players use miner role primarily as PVE gamer gear collectors. The extreme form of this is when miners mine just what's needed for PKA upgrades & cutter and not touch the ORM ever again. Why: * GPS is meant as a safety device. Tendrils are very low...

I love racism, even if imaginary. That being said, players most deserving of a tabling, vitriolic remark and a ride down disposals generally play humans as the optimal species. I believe the primary cause of species blindness is that there is no real reason to ever be paranoid about a species. Cult ...

You're right that it creates more work for the crew and AI by keeping them around and disincentivizes people from borging antags. Cases to consider: 1. If antag retains antag status after borging, then borging is not a viable way to remove the threat from the station. Why would I give AA and temp/wound resistance to an antag instead of gibbing? Gibbing doesn't give the player the option to continue playing the round, but it do...
