Basil returns
Our once dead server is now beginning to consistently receive higher population counts than Sybil after being opened to the HUB; are the end times near, or is the dawning of a new golden era upon us?

If you get hit in the leg with a laser, it should be serious, you should risk losing that entire leg, forced to crawl yourself across the station, screaming. If the chef takes a butcher knife to my hand, I should be in danger of losing fingers, or the whole hand. If somebody hits your arm with an Es...

Re: Deadly Combat
We could always do it like Lifeweb does it and make tasers require you to stun every individual body part, but put them down for much longer. Then again this would need a lot of fundamental changes with the medical system to work so I'm not sure how doable it'd be. This is the single worst idea I'v...

This looks legitimately interesting and a perfect example of "Paranoia" I feel like this is just going to result in idle people spinning around, which won't add any of the immersion that this change seems to be seeking. It's more like now shifty eyed people will actually look shifty-eyed....

Security was never meant to be balanced against antags, and people who think it should be need to be banned under rule 0 Whether you care to admit it or not, security more or less exists to act as the antagonists' primary opposition. Anybody who denies that sec act as antag hunters is denying how t...

I would be super sad if the AI was removed, considering it's the best way to mess with your crew as captain. But I also think it's really important we observe how antags fare without some invisible god watching their every move and calling out their actions.

Re: Turn the AI off for a month
One of my biggest issues is that cyborgs often don't know weather to follow their laws of their AI master's orders. The game doesn't do anything to instruct the player on what takes priority, causing more confusion. I've had countless security cyborgs on asimov arrest me (when I had committed no har...

Now if we had seperate servers for each of these maps, (or created a z-level to z-level thing where all stations are in the game at round start) it would be managable, because no one would be forced to play them, but those who enjoyed doing so could go over there and play with people who agree with...

In my view, fear comes from anticipation. Why isn't it fun to be insta-killed by the tesla machine? Because it teleports randomly to you. The player has no way of seeing it coming. In contrast, players can often watch as the singularity tears the station apart and desperately attempt to avoid it. If...

Re: Paranoia on a deathtrap
Make death more punishing. As Lumi said, there needs to be something to lose, a consequence to death. Revamp the medical system so people are afraid of getting hurt. These days in ss13 nothing is scary because one stay in a self-serve cryotube is pretty much guarenteed to fix any ailment. Getting hi...

I'd rather we add something allowing antags to more easily recall than make people wait an hour during traitor/changeling rounds + 15 minutes.
