I found that difficulty easy to the point where the game was literally skipping story events because I was faffing about consequence-free, as well as trivially cheesing some missions, but the game is so long I haven't returned to it yet. (Played XCOM:EW four times though)

Everything works fine on a local server and everything breaks on /tg/'s live servers for me. I'm investigating whether this has anything to do with the CDN that was recently implemented.

Advice to anyone thinking about redesigning power: don't forget about power cells and cell chargers. The cells need to charge quick enough to be useful without instantly draining the APC, whose cells are usually smaller than T2. Currently this is achieved in a very hacky way.
