Re: XHUIS' SUMMER THAW EVENT

Chameleon projectors can scan humans, and allow you to project yourself as them at the time of scanning. Like the Abductor disguise system? because when AnturK made that I made him make the back end nice and generic, so it could EASILY do this. I honestly don't really know what abductors are nor wh...

Re: Naming Policy

I miss that gimmick (inb4 I steal it), but no someone is actually named old man in game. He means Oldman Robustin, I'd assume. That's the only "old man" I've ever seen in game. And was my other post really removed because I thought the guy was dumb for using "problematic" as a j...

Re: Naming Policy

I've never seen anyone name themselves Old Man... You might be referring to a gimmick I run where I spawn in a character wearing pajamas and edit their step_size to be ridiculously slow so they move 1 pixel every 10 minutes or something and then make them have heart attacks while medbay scrambles t...

Re: Naming Policy

I think its problematic when people name themselves shit like "Old Man" and "Niglet Jones/Nigger Jim" primarily because its difficult to properly refer to them. Old Man is literally a noun, and I don't want to have to type Nigger/Niglet every time I want to refer to that person. ...

Re: Fast Atmos

The logic is that the area becomes uninhabitable very quickly, and then becomes fixed ONLY shortly after someone starts fixing it.

It's also very difficult to repressurize areas that do not have pumps, i.e. maint. (you'll have to open multiple air canisters, not sure how many)

Fast Atmos

I noticed that atmos has gotten WAY faster in terms of the movement of air throughout a closed room. This has meant that breaches in the hull are much quicker to depressurize any local areas. I'm not sure if I totally agree with this since it is already hard enough to fill a depressurized room up ag...

Re: Increase the bombcap? [POLL]

I don't see what increasing the bombcap will add to gameplay. The explosions will be marginally bigger, but they will still be the round-ending phenomena they always were. As peoplearestrange mentioned, I don't think anyone is complaining about their current size being too small either. Plus, increa...

Re: Locked Nukeop Hardsuits

I don't see how anyone can defend the fact that locked hardsuits prevent outside healing; This seems to me more like an unintended side effect of the locked hardsuits change.

I'd like to see some fixes for this so that Nuke Ops are not so unimaginably fragile as they currently are.

Re: Sharing dispute resolutions with claimants

I used to be an admin on yog for a couple months, andI think its important to let people know that you're acting on an adminhelp. A simple "looking at it" is enough. Regarding informing people of investigation results, there could be something like a "round notes" page that admin...

Re: [Poll] (Chem and Track) Implanting Hired Sec Officers

Honestly antags that join sec are the least robust people ever. Once you get implanted you automatically get weapons and more importantly trust, which is like the most valuable resource in the game. I think implanting new recruits(with stuff other than loyalty) is metagamey as fuck though, but antag...

Re: The new hunger system

I play chef a lot (i was the chef that alex mentioned with the lunchboxes) and something that I'm grateful for is that this update really increases the number of people who grab food from the kitchen. On the other hand there is still only one chef, so the process of making enough food really strains...

Re: When is the game "Hard Enough"?

I think you need to define complexity. The one I use is "number of viable options the player must choose between at any given time". Thus false choices don't increase complexity and should be removed. This includes both no-brainer obviously good decisions (as an engineer, you always want ...

Re: When is the game "Hard Enough"?

4 does not follow from 3. If X and Y are opposites to eachother, we cannot assume that a value for X or NotX is somehow Neither "too X" or "too NotX." These are undefinable in a concrete manner due to opinions of what qualifies "too much" or "too little" X or...

When is the game "Hard Enough"?

Preface: Let me first explain that I am a relatively on and off player. I often stop playing ss13 for periods of time only to come back to many changes in the game itself. I appreciate the changes that have been made, and I do think that it is very entertaining to constantly discover new things whil...

Re: Higher Standards for Head of Personnel

Let me ask you this. What's legitimately bad about HoP, objectively the most informed person on the station, making a decision about someone's employment? If you're gonna talk about how he might do something bad and that is enough to remove that part of his job, then we should have whole station of...

Suit Sensors 4noraisins

Why do suit sensors seem to set randomly each round? Can't we have persisting maxed or minimum suit sensors? I noticed that suit sensors have been the topic of an early announcements very very often in the round, and it seems like an unnecessary annoyance to have to set them every time.
