I live in central London so there is absolutely no need to drive so I've never learnt.

So, in Sybil round 202427 (ongoing as of the time of writing this post) do not do this , SightID2 bwoinked me for killing a CMO who purged and tried to enslave me. Actually, he did enslave me, I had to listen to any of his orders, but he never actually gave me any orders, and he didn't put in a clause saying not to harm him, so, I killed him, thus freeing myself, since he clearly intended to enslave me based on the law he uploaded, thus being an overtly hostile action towards me.

ANYWAY, SightID2 bwoinked...

currently we have an issue report up on the repo where people are IDing paradox clones by demanding they confirm their bank account ID and then killing them if they can't

this is blatant metagaming by abusing an oversight with how paradox clones copy the target, but admins aren't acting on it and players have had to ask the coders to fix it

we all agreed that changeling MMI testing is bad and an exploit, so why can't we just blanket ban antag testing via shitty exploits/oversights like this?

I think this would give players a reason to not be WHOOPS ACCIDENTALLY CONVERTED!!

1) If a player mob would be converted, that body is offered up via prompt for a few seconds
2) If nobody responds, the original player keeps their body and stays in the game
3) If the player is later de-converted, the ghost possessing them receives the same treatment and the player is offered to return
4) If the player won't/can't accept the return (DC'd, took a ghost role, etc), the antag ghost becomes the new permanent...

Hello gamers, it has come to my attention that security is once again allowed to use contraband against solo antagonists on our beloved TG MRP servers.

Manny wasn't always like this, back in the day this policy thread mostly put an end to security using contraband against solo antags. I find this regress in our policy to be concerning, most other MRP servers do not allow their security teams to abuse contraband without a very serious threat to the station(round-ending threats usually) and I feel as if TG...

For my time in the Tgstation I have noticed one thing, a hostility between Manuel and every other server (at least people talk about it). This especially is happening with any change that adds some kind of RP mechanic, restriction or such.

As a Manuel mainer now would like to hear everything about every other server, so I want you all to describe every server - simply. And I'm not against hearing about your takes on the Manuel as well.

I hated lavaland, i think we should make it different for each round. One round it could be classic lavaland, and the next like icebox. This would mean we would have to revert icebox back to box station, or maybe not. I went through the files not to long ago and i seen some jungle megafauna, so why not make another variant thats just a jungle. I dont know its just boring to see lavaland.

I played on Yog a little and they have shadowlings, and i think its fun. They are like Nuke ops and Cultists, they can end the round and i think they arent that bad.
I started playing last year so im not sure how they really are bad. I am assuming that they were just hard to balance.

I've been curious about the general stance on TC trades, especially antag trades. Is there a specific admin policy that controls what is traded? Or is really just reliant on admin willingness?

Depending on the admin it seems like you'll either be told to pound sand and asked why you even have the antag enabled if you didn't wanna play it or if you don't want to use their tools, or you'll get some unrollable antagonist or niche item.

The new chat fancy tgui say has too much latency. It does not receive input before it initialises, giving room for input to be missed between when the say verb gets used and when it appears. This has caused an abnormally large amount of typos on the first word where I miss the first character, or even multiple if the lag is particularly bad. It's frustrating that the lag for the say box to appear is visible.

Hey forumites. I'm planning on running a tabletop game set in SS13 for some friends of mine. While I could just write all this on my own, I thought it would be a fun activity to invite you guys to make up some characters that would populate the station. They can be normal, quirky, or even slightly insane- if it works it works! What if we had the option to buy fake ID's cards with no access and can not be inserted into id consoles, they are printed with a single name and job that can't be changed after you buy it? (only sec officers can see if its fake by inspecting it like the captain and fake disks)

We are considering the possibility of creating a guide to add to the ban appeals forum about headmin reviews.

Every term is going to be different and we are fancying the idea of creating something that will last and serve as a guideline people can use. Clearly not every thread is going to need a headmin review or headmins weighing in...
